It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

do you wonderful NIB breeders have any tips on searching the sales for foundation horses? it would be really useful if there was a button to tick default smiley :p
@lbenedict15 it's all your fault you know default smiley <:o)
I was so determined not to go there, yet I now find myself the owner of a... kinda somewhat smallish herd of trotters. At first I just wanted to have enough for 3 gens. But ended with 14, and needed 2 more to make 4 gens. Looked at the numbers and decided to go for 6 gens. So I suddenly ended up with 64. Where is the head-desk smiley default smiley xd

@Phantom413 it would seem we are a few doing them

@tigrelily 460 is the new thing. Expect massive gains when you breed the old GP's.
But the GP will be all over the place depending on just how many breed at the given time, and some Howrse algebra.

OG = Old GP stock (350 - 351,2)
RG = Rolling GP. The GP of the RG's is adjusted every week by Howrse. By visiting the breeds directory page, you can calculate the max of a given breed.

Example the curly. If you add all skills together: stamina, speed etc you end up with 4,138 meaning the max a RG Curly currently has is a GP of 4,138.

@lh591 visit the breeds directory page and add all skills together. That will be you max a RG can have.
Example with the Curly, I'd do a search like so:
Max GP < 4139
Skills < 1
Age < 8 months
and purebred

You could also add a max amount you want to pay, affixed or not, plus if you want to pay any passes.

@Asfridur Appreciate the info.

btw my cousin only has 4 and just started working them. Her name is Pinque if anyone would like to make an introduction. She's cool and an adult, although she sometimes acts like a kid (don't we all default smiley :)).

Glad to see the trotters have ignited a fire! Wahoo! I have enough for five generation at the moment, and will likely stay there, but who knows, they may be addicting!

I now have 32 French Trotters that I will be working on getting to 100% blupped. I'll also be working with my aunt, tigrelily, in producing purebred generations, in the future. If anyone else is interested in working with us, just send one of us a pm.

Looking forward to the future gens!!

I realize I'm crazy for doing this but I decided to go for 7 generations of Original Gain (OG) Paint horses (from the years 2007 to 2015). That means 64 pairs (A total of 128 horses!). I'm getting close - I just need a few more. Hope to get them before the massive sales overhaul on the 5th.

I'm working on blupping them - the going is pretty tough. Those early horses are now harder to get wins than even donkeys. I'm lucky if I win one comp. But If I can get them all to at least 60% blupped, I'll be satisfied at this point.

Since I'm working on blending both OG and Rolling Gain (RG). I have also have a good selection of early (2016) RG Paints as well. Once the Rolling Gain started, the changes were easy to follow and I have quite a number of them from 2017 up through 2018.

I don't know but I think I have one of the largest selections of Ouranus and Gaia Paint horses on Howrse! LOL!

Can't wait until I start breeding the NIBs!

I've also decided to return to the NIB herd with this new set of Trotters. Right now I've only got about 10 pair between myself and my gaming partner - who btw if anyone needs any original foundation covers, let her know she's got a ton (Shisei is her name). I do have a first gen but I'm focusing right now on trying to get all my foundation pairings blupped first. Pretty close with my first.

What are people doing also with the range of GPs? Are you breeding the same GPs together or different ones? Example, 4110 with 4122s, etc?
