It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

NIBlings,
I am interested if there are any NIBers who have applied to be an ambassador. It is taking awhile to go through the lists and see if there are any recognizable names to look into.
If you are a NIBer/supporter and an ambassador applicant, I would greatly appreciate a note in a thread I started in my --EC forum-- (as that looks like an acceptable place such things can be discussed).

Also, to make this post more directly NIBby... I am about to give up my GV NIB project because I can't figure out a good method to get them wins. Anyone have GV skillz? Although, it might help if I woke more than two up per day... default smiley :s

Just a few thoughts. I haven't entered a NIB entry for my Paint horses yet because I wanted to have a enough Foundies to generate a large pool of NIBs (And that costs a good amount of equus) and I also want them to be fully blupped before breeding. That's also hard with the original 350 GP's.

Still, I'm getting close now. I would like to have a few more 350 GP's but that's gotta wait til I generate more equus.

However, I could afford to buy a few first generation (original GP) NIB paints. Anyone else breeding NIB Paints?

natzuki, October Lilac, sfc0397

I'm really doing snail speed on my Shagya.
But I've managed to BLUP and breed some Drums. Still no way near having a mate for the only 5th gen I have. But I'm working on it default smiley ^)

Hello All,
I prefer to breed as close to NIB as possible. I will work with any horse that is 3 generations or more out of any line/inbreeding. I know we cannot advertise and all, but If any of you would be willing to send me a message I would appreciate it. I am looking for coverings or foals to buy. I am just trying to find some people to connect with. Hope this doesn't break any rules. Look forward to hearing from some of you.
Alyssa
I am asking for NIB breeders' opinion on something close to my heart.

Back in 2010 I started, with the help of many other NIB breeders, to develop an organization called TESF (The Epona Stud Farm). This farm provides/provided foundation stallions (only the older breeds, newer breeds in last few years not included) that are fully BLUPed and skilled as well as having 321.20 GP for the most part.

No stallion that has ever bred a mare has been, or will be sold. If interested in more information on this program please see "What is TESF?" in my EC's forum.

Just trying to see if players would be interested in my bringing the program back? All coverings are at minimum cost. I have been gone most of the last few years due to ill health which is now a thing in the past (hopefully). I was one of the original NIB breeders although I no longer do much breeding of any kind.

Please ever leave comments here on this forum or send me a personal message about your opinion. Thanks. Yankee Lady

Question: Are "Foundies " or their offspring the first generation?

Usually the offspring of foundies are considered first generation, and foundies are just called foundies or generation 0. It's done that way because if you want to calculate how many foundies it will take to get to a generation, lets say gen 8, you can do 2^8 and it'll get you your answer.

Oh! Wow, thank you so much TheHobbyBarn and Flicker!
Welcome on board Eden Rose!!

@joy22_22 oh my nice one!! Have you decided to start breeding them again?

@MountainLakeQH, if you do decide to pick up NIB'ing more seriously you'll know where to look default smiley :)

2 super nice people have decided to send several Shagya my way. I'm over the moon happy. Loads and of huggles their way!!
Struggling with another back surgery so I haven't been very active lately. Slowly getting better day by day, so hopefully I'll be possible to be more like my active self soon. Getting very impatient when I look at all the beautiful pixels default smiley (l)

Miss talking to you guys on our Discord channel. Hope it's still alive and kicking.

Wow I know that I haven't been in here in ages, but.... wow things have moved on. I lost a lot of interest when they changed to the new foundation system and then got distracted by unis, divines and an inbred line of drafts.

Wait a moment does my girl still hold the NIB Morgan record? Even after what... er... 6 years apparently. Yes I am going to go and hide in shame over here in a corner. I have still been collecting foundies left, right and centre but... oh I feel such shame that it's been this long since I properly NIB'ed.

And 13 stars for NIB Russians?! That is amazing! I must find this horse and shower it with apples!

I'm about to start a mini NIB program with my Russians. I won't get that far as I only have 24 of them but it will be a nice little project once I figure out how to fix the affix problem for them. I cannot get this to show up as I want it to but that may be because it is 1am and I cannot for the life of me remember how to code it.

Anyways I shall check in later, and do a little bit of catching up (last time I was in here there was definitely not 1000 pages... I am quite sure of this)

Nice to see some familiar faces in here at least.
