It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

If you have 24 Dons you can easily beat my score. I only had 10 pairs default smiley :)
The GP gain we get now is crazy compared to the old days were we had to breed several generations to even get 1 star.

It's so difficult now to buy the old GP's, and when they are up for sales they mostly cost a lot. , Also BLUPing them is hard so not many bother any more.

Would be great if you want to get back into the olden ways default smiley (y)

I plan to, once I get my affix etc sorted. I already BLUPped and bolded all the foundies so it's just a case of getting gen by gen on the ground, which is different to how I did the Morgan, Barb and Trake in the old days.

I also cannot believe how many foundation Morgans I have. I keep looking at my hoard going default smiley :s at the thought of BLUPping them all. Yes they are a hoard. I have waaaay too many of the little pixels. Part of me also wants to rebreed to see what I would get now but the other half of me is going BLUP first then breed.

I was trying to figure out what the gains were going to be, even basing on new GP and my inbred draft and uni herds I'm trying to figure it out. I do recall at one point seeing +5 topskill gains easily but I am guessing that we are way passed that point now? I'm also going to end up with an uneven number which means somewhere there will be a half gen as well which is not fun.

Wait a minute, 10 PAIRs got you to 13* ??? default smiley :o

Oh my word. I am gonna have so much fun with this default smiley (6)

Also yes the price tag, I haven't actively hunted for new stock for a while but I have seen some crop up in sales etc and the prices have at times been bolting upwards. Half of me wishes to have the old foundation system back again, or at least have a choice when I get foals from Divines whether I want new foundie or old.

default smiley (lol) yup I did. You should easily be able to blow the roof off with your army.
Looking forward to seeing the end foal!

I hear you I cannot resist to grab more Shagya. I've lost count of the ones I have. My initial goal was to have 100 first gens. Now I'm pushing for 200 default smiley ^)

There are a few old GP foundies in sales now. Several in the cheaper end. Even managed to grab 2 Canadians. When I'll actually be able to work those is another question entirely.

Wish we could choose if we want old or new GP as well. My Hipparion divine gave me a Shettie with over 3800 in GP the other day. I have no use for it. So it will just have foal games, be affixed ... the end.

I hear you on that one. Every now and then I go a-hunting but the problem with taking on all breeds is that there is never an end to them lol

Yeah my new foundies get snail BLUPped then thrown in a tab somewhere under a particular affix lol I think I got my last foal of Kaktos and it was a foundation Fjord, I didn't even bother to check the GP, I got its wins and it's hiding in a tab somewhere default smiley (m)

Hee oh that foal shall be posted here when I'm done. Then it will probably sit in a farm somewhere like my Barb and Trake 1stars are... along with the Morgan. Honestly I don't know when I will get the time to work them all

Howrse has become a horrible game. The events are boring and the game team is just plane horrible. Whenever you have a problem they will do NOTHING so I am now quitting and the first person to PM me saying how much they agree with me and wanting all the small little bits I have will get all of my horses, equus, passes and BMI's.

P.S I am not responsible for the deleting of your account if the howrse team think you have multi accounts.
Lucky their pixels and wait for us default smiley (lol)
Not going very fast either

So true! It takes a long time to Blup the OG.

So, when they changed the OG to RG do you know when that happened and what the starting numbers were? How much of a jump was it? I can't find anything in the 1K or 2K. Did it jump from 350 to 3K? That's quite a jump!

Oh wow! I did not realize this! I just purchased a NIB (1G) uni with that intent! default smiley :@

Oh well! Maybe I can get a promo that will take off the horn.
Then again, I could always throw him, (Clementis) back in sales, I suppose.

@Bloomers the GP change was enabled October 22nd 2015.
There was a gradual % gain based on the overall GP of the various breeds.

You can see how high the GP is now by going to the breed page. Example here the TB's

If you add all the skills points together you will know the max GP a RG TB can have if it's born today.
562.77 + 403.065 + 806.13 etc = 3900

So if your looking for a RG TB born today the max GP it can have is 3900.

I am looking for 1 foundation Akhal Teke and can't seem to have any luck. Are they really that rare that you can't find them in the sales?

This forum was started in 2009.

Just a question, are the stats still being monitored for the breeds? (Is Misabel still checking on them on Sundays?)

Misabel checks for the MODs and notifies them but I don't think she's done that recently :/

Your looking for old GP stock right?
Those are really hard to find. At one point I wanted to NIB them, but I couldn't find any in sales.

There are only 2 in sales right now but both cost passes.

@Asfridurs, they are absolutely scarce! Like I even wondered if they still exist in game at all!

@Storms Ransome I had a friend that NIBed them. She had way over 70-80+. Sadly her account was deleted due to inactivity when we had the change. Really sad we lost both her and all her foundies such as Dons, Standards and many more.

I still hope we some time in the future get a divine that gifts old GP foundies. I would love to have such a horse.

Can I sell a foal as NIB, if it's kin disappeared, but I have kept good records that the parents were founies?

Unfortunately it isn't very likely an NIB breeder will be interested if howrses in the pedigree are disappeared. That's the main reason most NIB breeders keep to using their own stock and don't cross lines with other breeders. A player quitting and having howrses disappear is always a risk....

Might get back into breeding my NIBs. Especially since I just found out I have 14 horses (of different breeds) that are above the highest GP for the breed up top. I am however looking for NIB horses of all breeds to breed to. Even drafts. I will offer coverings back too

@ Maestar30292 several breed Arabians.
Driananium (going slow)
dark_angel2788
stryker777337
Sylevar Falcori

@Azhure Moonrider1691 used to have such a project running. Not sure if she still does though.

So I've finally bred me some more drums and a few Shagya. Including second and third gens.
The elusive 5th gen mate for Noblezza still evades me, but I'm getting there. Going to throw confetti and stuff once I get my first 6th gen drum.
