It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

What's up guys? What's new? I'm out of school for the semester so I'm going to be dabbling with some of my projects over break. Who's new to NIBing since I've disappeared? I'm so out of touch with all the new folks.

Hey, I'm quite new on here, so still have access to Gia foals for a couple of weeks. Which would be the best breeds to get do you think? I am interested in keeping things NIB as much as possible...

Welcome back!

I am new to NIBing. I am currently working on QHs, but I have to horses to start Q Ponies, Paints, Hackneys, and TW Unis.
Does anyone have any 350 Newfoundland Ponies they'd be willing to sell? I know I instinctively pick up foundies even for breeds I'm not working on, so I figured maybe you all would as well.

Wow...anything but lol

The next 350 I blup is a Welsh. I have between 28 finished Foundies, but no Newfies.

For finished pairs I've got TB, Haffy (2), Lipizzan, Icelandic, KWPN, and QH which I haven't bred yet. I'll do that next week if I'm reminded lol

Finished at least five blups thanks to a few friends these past few weeks.

I haven't done any NIB breeding (or played the game at all, for that matter) for almost four years. I crossed a pair of my 351.2 Friesian unis and a 448.04 GP uni boy was born. Wow, things have changed! default smiley xd

Does anyone have any tips on getting wins on foundies? My poor little Freisians (and a handful of other breeds) can't get a win no matter what I've tried. I've tried the usual bonus pack, posiden pack, golden apples, medusa's blood (but I can't afford to do all that for every single one of them, especially when it doesn't seem to help), and sorted for the lowest difficulty, under 20 wins, trying all of the different types of competitions, and still nada.

You'll need to find someone to fill for you or let you use their filler horses. I think several of us here are willing to fill for you. Maybe that could be something we add to our list @Asfridur??

Oh, fiddlesticks. I’m not on enough at reliable enough times to bother anyone for fillers. I did a headcount, and I have 14 pairs with 100 BLUP, and a handful just missing a few comps. Obviously, 16 pairs at 100 BLUP would be better, but I’ll start with what I have and see how far I get before I bother y’all for fillers. Thank you for the offer, though!

Oh, and if anyone has any winged foundy (Maze?) Percheron (2280+ GP, -0- skills) BLUP’ing tips, I’m all ears! I’ve been living on Friesian uni island (with frequent forays into Arabian-uni-land and occasional trips to other-uni-breeds-peninsulas) for so long I almost don’t even know what to do with a breed that doesn’t train dressage. My real horse is a Percheron cross (the one in my avatar), so I’m really motivated to NIB this breed, but they have sadly turned out to be way harder for me to BLUP than my nearly similar GP, current market Friesian unis. Am I missing something, or have Howrse’s current game mechanics nuked every foundy?

Happy New Year all!
Haven't been very active as of late. Still plotting along slowly though. Not going to give up on my babies default smiley ^)

Good idea flicker

oh heck there goes my savings again default smiley xd
Thanks for telling us!

Close to all are nuked I'm afraid. It's now crazy hard to get wins on the old GP's. You need people to fill if you want 100% BLUP.
Slightly easier with the rolling gains - if your patient. The RG's mostly do not need fillers on all entries besides your own BLUP...yet.
Lovely horse you have there Carrie-Anne default smiley (l)

Would you like us to add some of your breeds to our NIB list?

Regarding the NIB breeders I've got the following. And have posted names on players that are willing to fill - please let me know if changes are needed for the list, and willing to fill

I've just started NIBing, can some one recommend one NIB stallion?

What breed and species are you NIB’ing? I’ve got few breeds of 100 BLUP 351.20 GP unicorn stallions that aren’t leaving my hands until Howrse closes their doors for good, so I can guarantee my stallions are safe (according to current Howrse rules, my account can never be deleted because I did buy passes in the (distant) past, which is why my account was still here after almost 4 years of inactivity)..

@ Asfridur Thank you for the real horse compliment! It is not as easy as this game makes it seems to raise and train a young horse that outweighs one by a 1,000+ lbs (as I’m very certain many here could attest). I don’t have anything to report yet; I’ve only had one successful Friesian uni colt, and he isn’t above the current NIB Friesian GP on record (unless unis are a separate category?).

@Carrie-Anne tell me about it!
Used to work RL Vanners. Sweet sweet horses when trained correctly. If not their like big bullies and I do mean big default smiley (lol)

Howrse wise if you plan to have a NIB Fry line I can put your name on our list if you like?
GP don't really matter any more. The rolling gain has the GP going all over the place.
And no we do not have separate categories I'm afraid.

Grabbed a few old GP Canadians from sales. Going to go see if there are more that do not cost a million or more

I've got Morgans, both 350 and Rolling GP.
And I'm slowly working on getting a 350 all breed cross just because.

I have a new generation Connemara foundation stallion Rocky. I'm not advertising but which one do you think is best to do: blup and sell him or blup and offer coverings? I don't plan on doing NIB breeding so I was just wondering what you think.
By Retired breeder, 10th January 2018 20:36:34
Well, if you do decide to sell him, I might buy him from you so my foundy conne female can be covered.
By Retired breeder, 10th January 2018 21:13:08
@Madgie, I can offer you a covering for 500 equus once I've blupped him if you only need to cover one mare.
By Retired breeder, 11th January 2018 00:07:12
Yes, it's only one. I have made alot of equus just giving public coverings.
By Retired breeder, 12th January 2018 18:13:14
Does anyone have a current list of who breeds what breed of horse/pony? I lost my list somehow. default smiley (o)
