The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

There's a whole mess of 350GP foundies in the sales right now at great prices. I saw a bunch of KWPN & Irish Hunters, so if anyone's breeding those, you may want to check soon. They're bound to go quick.

I treated myself to a herd of twenty-two 351.20 GP TB unis yesterday....I've never spent so many passes at once, yikes! But it's worth it, those don't come along all that often, especially without affixes.

Seen any NIB Quarter Ponies recently?

They are very difficult to do. So if you want a very very small and slow going project, go ahead. But it will be very expensive and frustrating to find foundies.

Quick question, does sending a horse to Heaven (ie they died) take them off the ancestry list? Or does it only happen when a horse is put into the safe haven?

Both horses that are sent to Heaven *and* horses in the Safe Haven should stay on the pedigree as long as they are connected to a live account. Once the account is deleted, those horses disappear.

There was a site hiccup a few years ago that made horses in Heaven 'disappear' for a while. That was not intentional, and the game was able to restore them - but I think it scared a few NIBers into keeping their used stock around, instead of using them as pass horses.

ok so if I sell a horse that i bred and the person who bought it deletes their account that horse will disappear. But if I put a horse in heaven as long as my account stays around the horses will be in the family tree list?

I wouldn't risk doing it stryker.
There is no way of knowing what howrse plans to do in the future.
Better safe than sorry.

Out of 274 horses one would think you could manage to have all the coats of one breed *facepalm* I am looking for a palomino tobiano curly horse, preference to a foundation but willing to expand my horizons at this point

*sheepish grin* Just rescued 121 orig. Foundies of various breeds. Spent about 4mil.

I can do this again in a few months, thanks to leather production.

Hopefully next weekend sometime I can do a big blup-fest I should have a finished Curly mare and maybe a Welsh mare to add to my finished list. Maybe have a new pair or two to adopt out. This'll be fun default smiley xd Next 2 are Hano mare (just needs Mntn rides + comps), and an Arab mare.

Gotta get my lessons back up to 60, so that means it's skiller time. Then I can blup.
So, next weekend if you're blupping and need a hand...I'll be all over with my fillers.

Can someone tell me if I'm doing a good job with this lovely lady
Madison, it's only an opinion, but so far so good! I'd finish her speed training and gain all the skills from BOTH types of rides next, then halt training and try and get 20 wins in rookie trot, gallop and show jumping competitions if you are looking to BLUP her.default smiley (y)

Ok! Thank you!!!!
Hey everyone! I’m just here to ask if any of you have a BLUPPED Aussie Pony stallion that I can get a covering from? My mare that I’m wanting to cover is BLUPPED and I was hoping to try out a NIB line. Her name is Amara and she’s in the Special Stars tab if you want to check her out default smiley :)
