It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Of course you can have them! :]

No one had asked for them yet, and I just realized that I'd miscounted and I actually had 4 RG drum foundies not 3. That would enough for two breeding pairs. I hope they help you out! :]

If anyone else is still in need of foundies, I have some still left. Please feel free to ask me about them!

Hi everyone, I would like to get into NIB but am a little foggy on how it's done. I have a few sets of foundies, but my primary wonder is how do people keep the line going? i.e. I have a set of two drum horses that I would like to NIB, but am confused on how to keep the line going after I breed them. Will I have to buy two more foundation Drums, blup, and breed them and then breed that 1st gen to my other 1st generation, or is there a covering system in place among NIB breeders? Thanks!

I'm suprised the Drum horse has the best GP on that list up there, being such a new breed and all.
@AVH Lover : is that a resounding yes?

Hi I'm curious to start some NIB breeding, is there forums for specific breeds on EC forums or even teams dedicated to NIB horses? I have Arabians, Trakhner, and Tennessee Walkers that I'd like to help out. I also have Trakhner unicorns that I'd really like to do NIB with. Can anybody point me in the right direction of who to contact? Please message me if youre the person im looking for. Thank you! default smiley ^)

Yes, you will have to just breed more foundies

@kaylie16 you need quite a few foundation horses, even if it's a small scale project.
The same horse can only be listed once when you track the ancestors.

Here's an easy example of an inbred horse. The same horses are listed more than once..
this one is inbred

Compared to this 3rd generation drum
Checking his ancestors, you can see the same horse is only listed once.

@stryker777337 we don't have active EC forums any more I'm afraid. NIB breeding was never easy, but the GP and auto gain change mate it even harder. So now only select few want to breed NIB's.

As to NIB teams. Not sure. I've got a Drum NIB team, but I'm the only active breeder right now. Have a side NIB trake uni project. But it's not my main focus right now.

I cannot believe it. I finally got myself a 5th generation Drum default smiley <:o)
And the crazy aspect being I have second gens that are higher that the 5th. There's Howrse logic for you. Super super happy with the little fellar though.

@Asfridur ok well I wanted to focus trak unis so whenever you want to start that project let me know. default smiley ^)

Is there a good way to advertise foundies for breeding? Just post here?

@Shisui I was sure you had found a home for them all. But if your looking for a forever home for them, I'd love to adopt them, if nobody else needs them default smiley ^)

Thanks flicker.

@stryker777337 will do.
You can do is post on your profile page. But the best result will probably be posting here.
Many NIB'er prefer to use their own stock though, so they can trace the ancestry. Main reason being we won't be able to trace all the ancestry should the owner of a foundie decide to delete their game or SH the foundie.

Comatose has a NIB registry as well as other threads.

Axel'sMommy has a foundie GA thread

I'm actually after a NIB Shire covering. I have two foundie (non gain) shire stallions and one foundie (non gain) mare & a filly (from the mare and one of the stallions) but I would like a covering for the mare (willing to trade for a covering from one of my stallions) so that I can breed more shires without being inbred : ). Doesn't really matter on blup, but would prefer from a foundie non gain though.

Also to add to that I'd be willing to foal swap : ) either a filly or colt doesn't bother me

I recently bought back my original foundation horse from back when I first joined and I'm currently BLUP'ing her using Dr Zig's guide;

If your horse's genetics make its best classical event default smiley (l)dressagedefault smiley (l) (e.g. Lusitano, Friesian), then try this:
* mountain rides [DONE]
* gallop & trot training [DONE]
* dressage competitions [DONE]

* showjumping competitions
* jump training
* forest rides
* cross country competitions

I'm worried that I won't get her competition wins... I am trying to fill my competitions with my Midas (since that's the only one in my farm that can enter competitions that low... rip) but he has more skills than she does.. default smiley :s Could someone possibly help me with this process?? And maybe give pointers on what I should change?? I'd like to have her bolded which is why I'm using Dr Zig's guide but if there's another route I could take I'd be willing to try it.
I might not check this forum right away so if you could help please PM me??
Thanks!!

Well, Asfridur, keepsake, Comatose, and I are willing to help fill.

Great!!
I'll PM with what competitions I'm entered in default smiley :d
I have fallen very quite behind on the game. In fact I haven't played in so long I can't remember a word I am trying to use to ask a question default smiley xd I realize that the new starting GP for foundies is ungodly strange, but is there any other changes to breeding that is taking effect on the original NIB breeding? Like, the total GP foals get from parents, is there any changes/higher rates in that?

@✧ milk-blossom ✧ been trying to find your lady, but I cannot seem to find her.
Is she in breed only comps?

@rylz! yes the BLUP change has an effect on the GP.
An example if you bold the top 3 skills and has 5 wins = 65% BLUP
7 wins = 68% BLUP

As to the gain there is definitely a change now. the changelog
