It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

Curious about NIB horses? Want to know what a NIB horse is? You've come to the right place!

What is this topic for? NIB enthusiasts to find each other and help one another progress in their respective games.
Otherwise, you may use this topic to help others learn about NIBs, share your experience, and find friends that breed NIBs default smiley :)

Please do not use this topic for advertising horses for sale.

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

@Madgie, I've almost blupped the stallion. I only need to age him a few times but I'm currently out of aging points. Anyways, which mare did you want to cover?

Yup! Here's the one that Asfridur's put together.

Is anyone looking for a NIB Marwari? I have one that I am thinking of selling. Figured I would ask here first.
I just started my NIB breeding with shetland ponys and it sound like a lot of fun! Should I register myself as a breeder in to somewhere or my horses?

I’m officially back on the NIB wagon! I managed to wheel and deal to get 15 pairs of 100 BLUP 351.20 GP Friesian unis, and added a 16th pair with a 100 BLUP stallion and 91.35 BLUP mare. 5 success so far, but 2nd gen is a long ways away. I’ve also picked up 4 pairs of rg foundy Vanners, so I’ll NIB them along with my rg foundy Perchies and Drums.

As always, any foundy uni stallion I have is available for as close as the game allows to free covers. All are 351.20 GP. I have Friesian, QH, Barb, and Morgan at 100 BLUP, and a few others at varying degrees of BLUP-ness.

Bad puppy changing your username default smiley (lol)
I've updated the list.

@anomites welcome on board. I've added your name to the list.
Comatose and Pearl Onyx breed them as well.

@Carry-Anne thank you very much. I just love the critters, and it just amuses me more than using public covers to get higher GP gain.
I'm super impressed, that is one massive number you managed to find!!

Comatose and kooldogz7 breeds vanner, I don't think we have anyone active breeding the Fry unis.
The Perches I do believe you the only one breeding those right now.

As to the Drums - SO sweet - their quite the popular lot here. Bred by the following:
abitude, MareWithAMission, Northener, Orca98, spotngold24, you of course and myself default smiley :)

Regarding the Connie/vanner crosses - are you crossing your NIB pures there?
That's a very interesting idea... I like it!

@Asfridur

So what I ended up doing was starting with foundies from each breed and then crossing them from 1G onward. I ended up being the first person to successfully breed a starred horse like that, so that project kinda became my niche in the community. default smiley :)

Would it be possible to be added to the list as well? I'm shy so I don't talk much outside of private messaging, but I am active. I'm still working on Highland Ponies.

@shamrock726 that's a great idea, and totally something I'll more than consider doing at some time as well default smiley :)

@Salome absolutely, and welcome on board! We love seeing new faces here!!
I do believe your the only one doing NIB Highlands right now.

No worries about being super chatty in the forums. It's all about you enjoying your game.
I love those little ponies. Got some non NIB unicorns that I had to put on semi hiatus for a tad. But I will totally pick them up again given enough time (back breeding project no outside covers there for me)

@Adivinanza nice! - heap of warning that's how I got addicted to the Drums...just saying default smiley xd

And you better believe I'm tempted to grab some in sales if their still there. It's great fun to work Vanners.

hullo! been stalking this forum for a while, not exactly active active but i'm working (or at least, trying to) with original percherons! still on the "blup your foundations" stage though, everyone has rides and competitions all over the place and my blupping pace is like... never use aps just slowly roll with the daily update so. first gen's a while off yet!

@Asfridur
Thank you for the welcome, but I'm not really a new face haha. It's been a while though. I pretty much suspected I was still the only player still actively working on Highland Ponies. (All the HP GPs listed are mine lol) There was one other player that had a program going also around 2014, but when I looked at them last, it didn't seem that were still working on HPs anymore.

It is nice to see the community still going despite the GP changes, and I would like to participate again. I used to talk to other players with small programs, and I was previously on a list of active NIB players (but I don't remember whose.)

Actually, I still have several original GP foundations (and a three rolling gain drums) that I had collected hoping to pass on to other players. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to give a horse to them. The only condition is that, for the breeds of the 350GP foundations that are hard to find now, for those I would give preference to those players with a program currently running. This is because I know some players were struggling to keep their programs going with the changes.

Thanks @Asfridur for adding me to the list.

I have slowly been starting with my Shetlands but when I was searching for pass horses today I found this cutie. She is a 2nd generation Thoroughbred female and I found her a NIB cover so soon there will be more 3rd generation NIB Thoroughbreds on their way.

This Icelandic foundie was also in sales and he is going to be my pass horse but if anyone wan'ts a cover from him just send me a message.

Sorry been super busy these past days.
Loads and loads of 350 GP's are in sale. Some cost passes but many of them Ecuus only. So if anyone is looking head over and take a look before their gone!

@Salome amazing your ranked Highland still stand default smiley :)
I'd love to take the RG drums if nobody else needs them. My project that was only supposed to be small scale has exploded to a massive one ^

A super nice player decided to send me several more a few days back. Thank you default smiley (l)

Getting closer to having a blupped mate for my 4th gen Drum. Yup I'm slow default smiley (lol)

@Magdie - sorry I haven't checked your list. Will do my best to hopefully check it tomorrow.
