Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Love the skill set! I'd say train up the top 3 skills Stamina, Gallop and Dressage, if you didn't train trot he could smash some lower level Western Pleasure and mid to high level Reining

I don't think i've ever owned a horse so hard to get comps on...

New Knab stallion 7000GP

I only want him for breeding but I want 100BLUP default smiley :'(
He's a 50/50 Gypsy/Knab dominant stallion if anyone's interested in a cover!

Do you have the perk to switch specialty regardless of age? I'd switch to western and try reining or pleasure comps.

Haflingers naturally have a lower gallop, which they need for reining. It's marwari cross has the gallop your foal is lacking. Like I4Horses said, train up the top 3 skills Stamina, Gallop and Dressage. When gaining wins, enter WP and gallop. Hope this helps!default smiley ^)

So I'm back.
But this time hunting the #1 Hackney ranking with Missin' Higgins.
It's taken longer than expected as I didn't have the Aging Points behind me when I first began the project. But the current #1 hasn't moved since about last year sometime so I think I still have a few days to finish her off.
I guess it's sort of cheating, being a cross and impure, but, don't we all have our blemishes? default smiley ;)

You got a Marwari because the parents are an even cross of the same breeds, so it took the dam's last listed breed. You could do the plan you're considering to get a Haflinger dominant, but if you'd like to keep the genetics you have going you could Bolt your original stallion, the sire, to a mare and then breed it to the foal you have (leave the foal as a colt). Since the sire has Marwari listed first and Haflinger second, breeding it to the colt should give you a Haflinger since the colt is the same breeds as the sire.

It just depends on how you want the genetic skills to look.

Do you ever offer covers with your Trak/Selles? I have a project going on with that cross and I was wondering if I could possibly get a few covers from you?

I also have two fully blupped Trake/Selles (One is 7300+ GP and the other is 7600+ GP) if you need covers. Both Trake Dominant.

I just bred this little filly today. I'm debating rebreeding another foal like her with tears. I think that'd be a great foal.

Sooo I've been really caught up in my KWPN/Selle crosses and have been having a blast winning SJ rosettes with them. I'm not really familiar with other breeds though, so does anyone have any suggestions for some nice rosette winners in say gallop or xc comps? Preferably a breed like KWPN who has enough breed-only rosette comps but when crossed with a Selle, the crosses tend to beat the pures. Thanks default smiley :))

train speed/dressage up to rookie level. You won't win anything the way it is now
