It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

a very nice player sold me 4 or 5 Foundys today default smiley :) Almost all my paints right now are Foundation default smiley :) So happy!

I also have a ton of Foundation Morgans now

And now I am focused on finding Foundation Mustangs and Appaloosas as well as Quarter Horses default smiley :)

But I am really happy that my Paint project is getting off the ground default smiley :)

Thanks Forest default smiley :) I think I'm going to go search through the PS for some Mustangs since I only have 3 NiB Mustangs default smiley :( I searched through my horse Palouse who I bought before his some horses in his line disappeared, and I still am going to use him default smiley ;) but I was a little sad.

I've just gone a bit mad and bought several more foundation Morgans. And I only have 4 fully BLUPped. And er... 70? foals that are in need of being BLUPped. I am gonna have a lot of fun with this....

I love BLUPping horses, I don't know why. I was BLUPping a 17* IH the other day and he was done in like 3 hours. It was so annoying that that's all it took, especially when my foundations and low GP horses take days to BLUP.

Sleepless Dawn is currently maxing his trotting and galloping and I am entering him in some open galloping comps. If anyone has some fillers or is in need of galloping wins I will understand if a NIBer goes against him in some default smiley ;). He is a third gen and still gaining skills with several bonuses so keep that in mind when entering horses that need wins default smiley ;)

For getting those elusive 20 wins with foundations and lower generations, I think it might be neat to set a certain time for NIBers to enter their horses and their fillers, as sort of a group effort to get some wins down. I'd be specificallly looking for Hanoverian fillers, but I think it might be a nice community thing to have a day or time or something where we work together to get wins (through filling and not stomping of course!)

Any suggestions for times (GMT) or days?

Finally aaaaall done with Sleepless Dawn's training. Only need 14 wins so will just wait out the days for the wins now default smiley :p. He is just shy of 12 years and has 470+skills already. If I put a WOY on him he may get close to 500 skills especially if I POC him but I'm not sure if I want to do either default smiley xd

Some people have mentioned using a genealogy program to keep track of pedigrees -- has anyone found one that works and doesn't cost hundreds of dollars? Some I've looked at seem to have limited generations that can be recorded unless you buy a deluxe edition some 4 or 5 times the cost of the regular. Would appreciate some suggestions on software people have used and liked.

I am going into NIB Morgans (getting out of NIB PSHes), but have been too busy to do much with them. I'm always in the market for foundation Morgan fillies under 6 months old. I have 50 foals through games at 351.20 and hope to start BLUPing them soon, have another 50+ waiting to be named and set up for games. This time of year is always busy for me, and this one is worse than usual since I went out of town for several days over Thanksgiving for first time in more than 10 years. Returned to blazing wild fires both in real world work and Howrse -- hope to have at least a couple of NIB Morgan studs ready for coverings by end of year, with broodmares soon after them.

Will also have, as soon as he finishes his BLUPing (still needs 5 wins), a foundation Irish Hunter standing stud.

*phew* Finish bolding my 3rd horse today, a foundation mare. Hopefully I get few random wins from all of the comps she entered in. She was old with few skills when I started her, thus the 16 years of age she is at default smiley xd Luckily she is another immortal so no worries on age.

I hope to do more bolding tomorrow after work, maybe another one or two and some comps for my old, old immortals I have too. Who knows, I just might get somewhere this week default smiley xd

Just don't forget that all horses, mortal or immortal, stop increasing skills at age 25. The immortal don't lose any but they don't gain any more either. So if you want your mare BULPed, you need to finish before she turns 25.

Yes she still will gain skills until she is 25 through riding lessons which she will be used in every time I do something with her until then. It is no longer required to BLUP her though it is just nice to add to the skills so that the IBS of the foal will be higher. Tomorrow I may age those that I sped trained tomorrow by another year or two then speed train a few more until they are bolded. Bolding them is what really takes the most time when it comes to speed training but then there is waiting for all of those wins default smiley xd Again I am lucky that she is immortal as often times it may take more than 9 'years' for her to collect all of those wins.

random glitch??
I went to place him in an EC and bold him up for a friend and noticed something odd with his gear in the bonuses tab.......I won't add him to an EC until later I don't think so it doesn't seem like it is because he is in an EC......

sidney I think she was just trying to remind me that horses will always gain skills from lessons as long as they are younger than 25. If they are older than 25 they can't gain through lessons but can from training, comps and rides if they weren't fully trained before hitting that age.
