It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

I am afraid I am not sure what you are asking geronimolife
By Retired breeder, 6th December 2009 01:56:36
I might try to start a line of NIB appaloosas. I have two foundations fully trained already...but I already have so many horses.
Maybe once school's out for winter break; I might get some time, but then again, maybe not.

I wanted to know if somebody had a breeding of purebred spanish horse NIB because I just began a breeding of NIB purebred spanish horse default smiley :-))
Livelyblueyes,
.
My posting about all the horses for sales ad was not aimed at you -- I think you are offering a great service and apologize for not bringing that up as an alternative place to post NIB horses for sale or wanted.
.
My objection was/is to the many ads being posted by individual players about specific horses for sale when Rivenwood had specifically requested that this not happen. You posted about a service you were offering -- two very different things.
.
Please accept my apologies, I did not mean to offend you or belittle your service to the NIB community in any way.

I hope I'll have something to post here soon... A bit more BLUPing (okay, a lot...) to go first...
By Retired breeder, 6th December 2009 15:59:10
darn. My hackney's GP is high enough yet. Still have to bold Gallop for Magical Lasso, then breed, and maybe get a foal with high enough GP to post.
By Retired breeder, 6th December 2009 16:06:20
I am just itching to get back into my NIb program. 25 more days to go!!
Also, I NIB almost every breed around. Right now, I have: Arabians, Canadians, Hanoverians, PSH, IH, Chincoteague, Friesian Unis, Hackneys, Mustangs, Quarter Ponies, Russian Dons, Brumbies, Barbs, Marwaris, Shetlands, Morgans and Pasos.

I'm not selling any of my foundation stock, but will be happy to offer coverings or broodmare services from my blupped stock to other NIBers.

If anyone is looking for a breeding partner I have at least one of every breed on the game except, the Australian Pony and Paint Horse both of which I would like to get. I also have a few foundations with 351.2 or close to it. I really like some of the less developed breeds. So check out my page if you want to see the specifics or pm me.

I have a question. I have been doing NIB hanos. My horse was the highest, 365. I hand picked his lines, taking originals and breeding up. I sold someone in the line and now the horse has dissapeared. Making him inpure I guess. How is that fair? I have to keep everyone just to make sure it's proven he's pure?

elizabethruiz - That's one of the biggest challenges to NIB breeding. I have had to purge over 20 horses from my program & have about 15 more that I monitor to make sure their ancestors don't disappear. I have stopped selling horses used in my program except to other NIB breeders that I know have been doing this for a while.

I guess I will have to do that. Keep everyone. I don't know if Safe Havening them will allow someone to view their lines
