It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

Curious about NIB horses? Want to know what a NIB horse is? You've come to the right place!

What is this topic for? NIB enthusiasts to find each other and help one another progress in their respective games.

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Hey Rivenwood, will there ever be a ranking for NIB horses? Or is this how close it will come to a ranking?

For the player that was asking about anyone who breeds NIB Apps. Loti is a player who has been apart of apps since about 2 years ago default smiley :). She and I got into NIBing together and whenever I see a foundy app for a cheap price I grab it up and send it her way. I used to breed with her but at some point decided to only focus on my Arabians ( I have close to 200 NIB arabians haha). I have since started collecting NIB connies and may some day get a couple to 100 BLUP though my Arabians come first so the other breeds I have usually get tossed to the wayside haha.

If anyone is looking for coverings or special order foals I have a few horses I can use for them default smiley :).

Another thing I have done to make my game a little more challenging is that I don't allow any of my NIB arabians into my Dark Forest Arabians tab until it has a GA on it haha. Often times this means I only purchase GA'd horses though I do come across several here and there that I really like and will purchase a GA just for them default smiley :). Just something else I have done to add a twist to my style default smiley :p

Her user name is Loti, give her a PM default smiley ;). I'm fairly certain she doesn't ever sell her stock except for recently when she cleared out all the horses with horse disappeared (yes I hate that feature of the game as well.....) in their lines. She does offer her studs up to the public though so you should be able to get fairly good lines for a decent stud fee default smiley :)

wow thank you so much Forest Queen default smiley :) Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you default smiley :) Unforutanetly I don't have any NiB Arabs, but if I find any I will definitely keep you in mind default smiley ;) And i give you my respect. Arabians aren't easy considering a lot people use Arabs constantly for the greenstarred program and elites

What I ment to say was this
I don't believe in inbreeding
But I just found outdefault smiley :o
one of my horses have inbreed grandparent
I am shocked.default smiley :o
Well its not my fault
I just did not know
Don't worry horsegril, with the new layout of the family tree it's very difficult to check back in generations. I personally try to sell any foals that have a similar parent so that I don't have to worry about any accidental breedings. I also do not breed to outside stallions unless they are foundation (usually though I did breed my 2nd gen to an outside 2nd gen stud to get my 359 stud).

No problem Storms Ransome default smiley :). I don't mind helping anyone out, NIBer or not default smiley :). It is often times difficult to deal with my arabians because of how many monsters there are in comps but I have recently been doing quite well with my wins default smiley :) and have been placing my own fillers in to try to help them out lol. I think I've been rather successful for not having a breeding partner default smiley :)

I bet you have default smiley :) I don't think I don't have any arabs that I could use for fillers for you otherwise I would help you default smiley :)

I have a few foundie barbs,Norgans, brumbies and a couple others I Believe f anyone needs em.. All are ungamed except one. They are currently up in the privates for 500e and a pass but I can negotiate if needed. Also believe I have a russian don as well.
Main reason they are up for a pass is to be certain an NIB breeder gets them. They are generally the only ones who will send a pm about them or purchase at that price range.
Would hate to see them havened if I put them up as a straight equus price. ( sadly that does happen)
Hey Forest Queen, if you get any NiB or Foundy Appys, Paints, QHs, Mustangs, or Morgans, would you be willing to let me know?

Sure though most foundy apps go to Loti lol default smiley :). Like one I spent 9k on that has a ton of bonuses. Once she's all BLUP'd I'll be sending as a cheap gift to her lol. I will try to remember all those breeds as I do grab some up when they are cheap default smiley :). I used to breed QHs at one point, even have a lightly used affix just for them but don't anymore nor do I have any left in my herds. I will try to remember though

Thanks default smiley :) I appreciate that so much! I have a few NIB Fresians if anyone is looking for some. I just ask those who buy them, not to place them in SH. I don't have anything against it, but I would love for all my horses to have a good chance default smiley :)

3rd gen at 359.41 (I believe) but I keep getting distracted and not finishing training and such for my horses haha.

Definition of my generation count:
foundation-2nd gen-3rd gen-etc

Definition of some other players generation count:
foundation-1st gen-2nd gen-etc.

default smiley (lol) I try to let people know so they don't get confused default smiley :p

Oh and I don't mix generations, such as I don't breed 2nd with 3rd or foundations with 2nd or 3rd. It's straight generations only, so foundation to foundation, 2nd to 2nd and so on default smiley (y)

I also don't buy horses like that, it makes watching lines more difficult in my opinion, or sloppy something like that

I am trying to clean up my lines as well. But because I am still working on fully switching over to NIB and getting all my greenstars gone, I am having trouble getting there fully.

The database was made by Rivenwoods husband..and when you punched in the number of your howrse it brought up the howrses pedigree it still works for the howrses created before 2008..it was awesome..you could have 11 generations and it would give you the whole list or you could take two howrses before they even bred..and tell you if it was going to be inbred or not...
why did they remove it? do you know?
