It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

Curious about NIB horses? Want to know what a NIB horse is? You've come to the right place!

What is this topic for? NIB enthusiasts to find each other and help one another progress in their respective games.
Otherwise, you may use this topic to help others learn about NIBs, share your experience, and find friends that breed NIBs default smiley :)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Oh no that is terrible. The disappearing horse strikes again. I had over 100 horses and lost most of mine to disappearing horses. I wish howrse would find a way to prevent it from happening. default smiley :(

Yeah I had a second generation Arabian stallion with almost 360 GP before I left who lost two of his lines to the disappearing horse. That was when they told me that even if I knew what the lines were he was no longer breedable as a NIB because they can't be verified. What a waste.

Do you mean 2nd gen or 3rd gen? default smiley (lol). I do not know who all has "switched over" as it seems more and more 2nd gen horses are being called 1st and so on default smiley :$

I think I mean third. I get myself confused now because when I talk to some people they would call it second and others call it third so now I forget what to call it hehe.

Very true, I have some first and second gens that I've managed to buy and now I'm terrified that they're going to lose their parents. Two of the foals have dams that were pass horses, one of the sires is currently owned by Dr Zig, so I'm not too worried about that one. But some of the others would have to go through the auctions for me to buy them.

It is all very frustrating. It would be a lot better if Howrse could just grey out horses of people who've deleted their accounts, but that would be a discussion better held on the ideas forum.

*crosses fingers Tamriel gets a few wins* she has one so far, which I'm quite proud of.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you get your wins. I have 10 horses competing right now and two that are close to being done. I'm hoping they will be done next week. Have to make room for the new babies to move up in the ranks

Eeee!

Rowen and I make such awesome babies! Errr, well...breeding our arabians together, we do. -coughs-

Darryl

My first bred foal! Sorta, first time Adrian covered a mare. Rowen will hold him until I can get into private sales in about two months and two weeks. Well, this is what I'll be naming him when he comes to live with me.

NIB {Gen2}

I need some equus...so he's for sale. Don't want to advertise that but I just wanted to show off Adrian's lovely babies! I'll need to ask Rowen for another covering from Pomnuria' Baen!, I want a mouse grey to keep. Technically my first bred foal because I bolted Adrian and he'll stay a mare until I can get another bolt, but at the moment, GA is most important on my must have list.

Sondra

My third foal and first filly! She's so cute and...wow! I can't wait to see the foals Adrian throws when he's actually gotten first place in twenty shows! I'm hoping now as a pegasus, he'll be able to do better than second place.

I think if I can manage to snag and immortalize another foundation arabian, I'll do really good with starting my own line.
I breed Morgans XD Always looking for more foundations, by the way, despite the fact I have over 90 waiting on games. default smiley (lol)

Thanks!

I am up to 30 Foundation mares and 25 foundation stallions so I'm slowly getting there. My hopes are to have 75 of each so that I will have a large assortment of babies to breed together. We'll see how far I get before I will have to find more foundations to add to the mix.

Can anyone see if my shetland pony Prince Edmund would be a good canadate for this i have two Aussie Golden Prize and GoldenDreams Fern that are not in bred.So if my Shettland Prince Edmund is not inbred then i will be able to breed those ponys and be in here. Please some one take a look at him thank you.
Sorry he is inbred he has inbreeding on his fathers side. I didn't go any further than that though but he definitely wouldn't be a candidate for NIB

Ok thanks i wish i could find a none inbred shetland that is imorrtal and palomino color for my princess Lilly
Summer I think I have a foundie shetland, probably not with all those things but I do have on in my other horses tab.

Rowen I have Salsa 1.18 up, I sent him to Chapman for his games (small miscalculation involved) so have placed him in sales. Will be thinking about selling is paired mate (351.2 GP) but not entirely sure yet.

PM me either/both of you if interested default smiley ;)

Does anyone know of a Welsh pony breeder? I'd like a foundation mare to pair with Endevor.

For really young foundations, like either after games or before, how much should I expect to pay for an arabian or welsh?

I'd also like to know, who else besides Rowen could I poke for future NIB Arabian breedings?
Arabians....a TON! lol....sold one of my recent untouched foals for 65k (this is including the average equus price of the items sent in part trade)

I have no idea on welsh....I believe I have some of those but not sure if they are untouched, messed with foals or screwed up adults default smiley xd.....so many breeds of foundies with nothing to do in my other horses tab...I forget what I have sometimes.

I do SoulReaper. I do custom foals and Tikki Tech still has available outside coverings for 100 BLUP NIB mares default smiley (y). PM if you are interested. They are 500e for coverings default smiley (y)

I also have another stud that is 100 BLUP for 200e as his skills are nice but meh no where near the caliber of Tikki default smiley :p

Darn, I forgot to try and re-submit Skylight -again- this week. x.o I'm still not sure why he wasn't posted as top for Paints when I did three weeks ago, but it's not because he's inbred...
For all breeders looking for an EC. I think I may have found one. The director of Parkworth Estate said I could board my Chinco mare there. It pays 22e. Is info like this allowed if it may help others?
