It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Ah I didn't think of that. That's probably it. Well I put them in the auctions so we'll see if there are any Barb breeders looking for babies. I don' t breed them but when the World Tours was going on I thought about starting to breed them so I got two plus the one from the contest. Now I can't seem to find them good homes.

Alycat, I have a foundation TB stallion if you're still looking. default smiley :)

Rowen: you posted earlier about it being bad to send dead horses to heaven. Do their pedigrees disappear eventually?

Lil Miracle 351.2 has earned her name. I finally got her wins now only to finish the rest of the BLUP training. I got lucky when I found her as an untouched foal in the sales. Anyone want to offer coverings please pm. Arabian breeders please check out my EC forum.

Misabel,

As of yet they don't but if someone quits the game all the horses they have in their heaven will disappear when their game page does.

I do not know if there are any plans to delete the horses in peoples heavens but I figure better safe than sorry and I stop aging my horses unless I am working with them and training them or breeding them. My next step is to try and make all my 100 Blup breeding stock immortal so that I don't have to worry about them dying.

bluetempest,

She is adorable! You definitely lucked out there are very few untouched foundation foals in the sales these days and those that are cost tons.

Yikes, that's a lot of immortality! default smiley (lol) I've been thinking my 1st gens are safe if the parents are dead or in the Haven. Now you've got be worried. default smiley ;)

Of course, not all my first gens' parents are....I was trying to take screen-caps of their pedigrees earlier (figured I could post them in my EC forum, to keep a sort of personal studbook), and failing miserably. Just couldn't get the whole thing on one page!

I bought her a long time ago and just now got to training her. I was surprised actually won the bid on her. I avoid the auctions like the plague I hate losing. One time I bid on a foundation with a GP over 351, lose and find out the new owner killed her. default smiley :( I so happy at how she is turning out *dances* it gives me hope for my other troublesome horses. default smiley :-))

Hey guys just wanted to get your opinions on my first horse his GP isn't great but I've trained him for forever and am still every time I get a POC^^

Here he is what do you think?
http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=2785152

Is he a good stud?

OUR CORNER!default smiley :-))
I think they are okay as long as they are in your horse heaven since you have no intentions of deleting your game anytime soon.

I am not sure about safe haven but I have had other players tell me that they would breed with horses who's parents had been sent to safe haven or were dead. So I have tried hard not to send my breeding stock to heaven once they get to the elite barn.

Necolassa,

Even though your studs GP isn't that high he has amazing amounts of skill for a foundation horse. If I were breeding thoroughbreds I would definitely consider him for a breeding or for a breeding program.

The second guy I bought from the auctions, so I'll lay off aging him if anyone wants a studding. I got him for a pass horse, but I may just try to get a philosopher's stone on him and work on his skills more.

Both are foundation and the rest are inbred or too many deleted horses in their history to tell.

I'd like a nice mare to breed Adrian with, preferably another foundation? My roommate isn't as lucky as I am with HOPS so he hasn't gotten a nyx pack yet for his foundation arabian and she's not done training, he's not breeding her till all her skills are bolded.
SoulReaper take a look in my elite barn I have a few 100 BLUP foundation mares in there you could breed your stud to and then I could sell you the baby once it's born.

Can I breed with Rainstorm, please? Thank you very much Rowen.
SoulReaper I have several 100 BLUP mares that do custom foals as well. May even let one or two of them go as they are just collecting dust default smiley xd

morgan foundation in auctions. *please note* this is not my horse for sale just trying to point morgan breeders towards her.

Her GP is low and the coat on her is slightly rare (GA) so she might cost a lot as collectors will be after her. *you have been warned* default smiley (lol)

What do you mean by custom foals you have me curious?
Rowen
  • Posted messages: 1,169
You pick a stallion and mare (mare of mine a stallion of your choice) and I will make a foal from the cross. Cost depends on mare, stud covering and if there is a WOY/aging points/FW/AT involved. I have already PM'd you tonight Rowen, check your inbox default smiley ;)

I just answered you, my inbox has been hopping tonight so it took me a minute. Plus I had to play with my new mare hehe.

That sounds a lot like what I do but I had not heard it called making custom foals before. I like that term.
