The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Remember guys, this isn't the place for ads unless somebody specifically posts they want something, and you have what they are looking for. Please don't post ads for your horses, even ungamed foundie foals, or stallions for breeding unless somebody inquires after them. Thank you default smiley :)
Wasn't aware stallions couldn't be advertised....perhaps that was a random bit of selective hearing though...dunno

Yay, Tikki Tech's first foal hit the ground today. Out of a 351.2 GP foundation paint mare. Lower GP than expected (finishing at around 356.+) but still nice. No tears used and had 70+% IBS default smiley (y).

Forest Queen,

That's respectable for a second gen (or first gen depending on who you are) default smiley ;). I am getting high 355's out of my foundation horses. I hope they do better at blupping than their parents lol.

There's a decent random factor - you might find that he produces much higher GP foals on breedings with other 351.20 mares. I've had quite a range in foal GP from set pairs, even.
Quite strange IC.....strange indeed default smiley *-)

*sigh* whenever I get around to BLUPing his paired mate we shall see what happens eh? default smiley xd

In response to the discussion about 1G foals GP's, i have bred over 100 from a variety of different pairs of foundies and my only 1G foal to break 357 came from a pair who had GP's of between 350.80 and 350.90, where as i have bred 2 351.20's and struggled to break 356. My average GP for a 1G is now around 356.40, but i still get high 355's and a few around the 356.90 mark.
I just personally took a look at the GP (took the mare owners word on him) of the colt by Tikki.....it SHOULD finish at 357.07!!!! default smiley :o *does a little dance*

default smiley :p, I plan on elite training his mate as well. She will (hopefully) only be trained in a .1% EC so I can break that 500% skills barrier with her default smiley :)

Can't wait to see their foal with tears default smiley :-))

It will definitely be a showstopper. I can't wait to see it.

I am finding that it's easy to find girl foundation foals but harder to find boys. I wonder why that is. I have noticed I have 5 foundation stallions in training and 9 mares. They boys seem slightly outnumbered.
