Ok, I am still kinda stumped on the piglet...I tried once again to see what year he is, but it is so tiny and difficult to find, let alone read! It kinda looked like a 95, so I looked in my book again. I found another piglet eating model, almost identical to the 04 one I posted before, but it was available from 02 to 03. It's odd they would release a new but practically identical piglet one year later. The sibling with the raised head was available from 96 to 03, and was likewise released in a very similar stance in 04. And it doesnt explain why mine looks so much older, being from 02-03 to just 04. Nor could I find any older piglet models from the 90s listed in my guide book. Maybe when I thought I was seeing a 9 on the belly it was a 0? Like i said, I'm stumped. Gonna have to consult Google and see if I can find any older ones. I'm sure not seeing them in the book! Maybe he was from a set? Did they even have sets back then? Sigh.

I love schleich!l only collect the. horses
Ok wait a minute here...multiple online people have my piglet as being available from 96 (which fits perfectly with the 95 I thought I saw) to 2003, just like its sibling. But my book says 02 and 03....it could be a mistake in the book? Wow. If I remember I'll post the correct pic later, when I'm on a computer. Pretty sure at this point that the belly does indeed say 95.

Ok, to be clear, it looks nothing like the other piglet pic i posted...that one looks far too nice and new, and a different shade of pink. But it looks like the one i got in the mail, though still a bit nicer.default smiley 8-)

It does seem like an amazing site...although it says they are planning to liquidate large portions of their collection? I hope that doesn't mean taking them off the site altogether! Anyway, i was having trouble telling the piglets apart by picture and just needed the year on mine's belly to confirm, which is what i was having so much trouble with, making it out, even with a flashlight. I am sad to see such a mistake in my book, for sure! I think someone must have been rushed or having a bad day or something the day they added the piglet's page to the book...one of the names above the picture actually says "pilet" while the other is spelled correctly. But im much more concerned with the years available being listed so wrong! Might have to cross reference in the future just to verify.

It amazes me how many here are crafty enough to make all this cool stuff! Probably a good thing i'm not overly crafty though...i barely have room for my Schleich (and other brand) collections, without adding barns and such!default smiley xd

Although i've always wanted to get that whole African watering hole set! Not likely to happen but a girl can dreamdefault smiley :)

Hello, hello!
I have recently made a new bridle and thought I would share it with you all. It still follows the Medieval style, but I have never made an ear-loop hold. I have always liked the Western look of that type of bridal and thought I would recreate it. Anyway, I hope you like the poor quality photos of Abraxas modelling like a king!

bridle* Sorry default smiley :)
My favorite traditional breyer is the arab mare susecion with her foal le fire? They are based in actual horses. I also have a palomino, black stretch Morgan stallion., Flaxen chestnut stallion and a bay arab? Stallion. In the classics I have the black my favorite, sea biscuit, war admiral, Spirit family, Arabian family, 2 dressage horses don't know if they were thoroughbred orwarmblood ( chestnut mare and I think grey gelding), yearling Colt and a pony.

I collect Schleich once n’ a while, while they are super nice and not oversized I much prefer Breyers or Triple Mountain Model Horses
I collect Breyer as well, and just went to my local store and picked up Catch Me! He’s a stunning guy, I plan to enter him in Breyerfest 2021’s photo show. I got lucky, he looks pretty LSQ, just a small mark that I plan to remove today. I’m also redesigning my shelves! I’m so excited for that, I’ve been packing my models wherever possible so yeah default smiley <:o) l also was looking at some CollectA online, I think I’ll order a couple soon.

Hey guys! Any name ideas for my new model Catch Me? He’s a dapple grey. I’m thinking Constellation aka Star? It just seems kinda simple.

Those are very nice, just as I knew they would be! I may be showing my lack of experience with real horses here, but I didnt know there was such a thing as ear-loop hols!

Ah thank you @Famousamos! You're too kind default smiley :)

Yes! They are a Western type of bridle (you can get them in English/classical too but it's less common) and the cheek pieces just wrap around the ears at the top. the bridles are quite minimalist to say, sometimes they don't have a noseband or throatlatch - just the cheek to ear, bit and reins!
Hope this helps default smiley :)
