Johorselover, I made mine out of fake water, it is in the diorama section in craft stores, I just took diorama grass, shaved a spot off, and did a thin layer of that fake water, with diorama rocks around it, It works great! Cowboy crazy girl, I named mine gazpacho, or you can name him Martinez, Garcia, or indiano, since he looks spanishee.

Awesome! I love the wash stall! Anybody have trouble putting their stable together, pieces didn't fit very well for me. |

I just found a fantastic way to make simple fences! Just take two clothes pins and clip one to each end of a Popsicle stick at a right angle to it, then just stand it up! Works best on hardwood, tile or short carpet though.

Sounds great! Cut up straws to make poles! And paint corks for barrels!
|
I made my stables and jumps.
|
I have so many schleich models, a few from the early 2000's. I have one 2002 Papo appy mare and her foal. :P
Polly Pocket horse accessories work great for Schleich- they have clip-together fences and stuff. I discovered this when I was 7 or 8. XD Also, the Breyer Stablemates barns and stuff work okay for Schleich models. Check ebay if you're looking for the retired ones. Love that place. Etsy may also have some hand-painted models if you do some digging.

Oh a while ago I found if you cut up straws into pieces, (I used the leftovers from making poles) then cut down one side, then you can open it up and put it around the horses leg for a boot. And it just pops back together!
|
Ugh...i wish I had money right now! Then, I can go get the things to make these wonderful crafts for my horse! But...not having a job right now is not fun. Ugh. When will someone hire me?!

Well if you have straws you can make poles and boots. Straws are common things to already have. And for a pond, I just paint some clear plastic from packaging with some blue then decorate it with green paint or green string on the edge for grass.

I really want a barn, but they're so expensive. Any tips on building I found a youtube video on making them with Popsicle sticks..just search 'How to make a Schleich Stable' somewhere like google, look at the video list, and it should be at the top. With the right amount of hot glue, it works. Also, I used yarn instead of the chain. Jump rings are also optional, but put a nice touch in. It's really easy and takes 15-30 minutes. |
