Add a bunch of little accessoires. Look up pictures of tack rooms, they’ve got a bunch of stuff laying around besides tack, it makes the room look like it’s actually being used. Stuff like leather oil, horse treats, brushes, pictures on the wall, crops, helmets, etc. And obviously make sure you’ve got a variety of tack in there and things like halters, leadropes and blankets.
for a tackroom id say also make it look like its being used.
they are not clean and neatly organised 100% of the time so i like to have things just a little cluttered.

as for the earlier questions about the new models.
im not fond of most of them but there are some that i like for example id love to get the silver draft mare

I've been working on a riding arena to take pictures with! It's almost done now and I'm super happy with it.

Here's a picture of the riding arena so far, I'll put kinetic sand in it when it's all dry and done

Hi all! It's been a little bit since I came through here! I've been living in a schleich desert it seems, but now that its January (new models!default smiley <:o) ) I think I've finally made it to the other side! I looked on ebay, hoping to score a new 2021 model, but it would seem none of those are available just yet. So, I settled for an old, smaller, retired model. It's not one I think most people would search out and go after, but I am not most people lol, and it was missing from my collection. No tag, sadly, but looked to be in pretty good shape in the pics. So what is this "less desirable" new addition to my collection?

Made you look lol! Sorry...I'm not trying to be mean...I just prefer to have the piece delivered and in my hands before I officially count it as mine and check it off the list or "brag" about it ha ha. You know, in case something happens. What is that saying, dont count your chickens before they hatch? Anyway, as soon as it comes, I will share it here!default smiley ^)

I made some new elemental bridles to add to the collection, there are 6 different types in total (Air, Earth, Electricity, Fire, Ice and Water) which are all celtic/medieval style. I threw quite a few temper tantrums trying to get the gems to stick because the leather I used is elasticated hehe. Anyway, I hope you like them, sorry my photography is not very good.

Thanks!

@Flump33
Awesome bridles! I also really love the wings on the model wearing the Fire bridle!
I'm thinking of buying a couple schielch and making a small 'barn'.

What paint do you all use to repaint them? Is there a certain kind?

What breeds are there? I went into rural king and saw some Clydesdales, Quarters, Thoroughbreds, but that was it. It was mostly Drafts and Racing breeds. Are there any others?

I personally use Vallejo model air, which is airbrush paint so you need an airbrush for that. But in general acrylics are the easiest to use. Though for more realism you’ll need pastels as well. Also, there’s a ton of different breeds, here’s a website with all schleich horses: https://schleich-s-horses.webs.com/home

@equestrian4life
Thanks! It was indeed a bay before I painted it default smiley :)
They don't have Fjords? That's odd to say the least

They released a family of Fjords i wanna say around 2018ish...? In recent years anyway...they have since retired but you should still be able to find them on Ebay, or even a brick and mortar store if you're lucky.

Oh gosh, this makes me sad! They are yours to do what you want with, but it makes me imagine if i was selling my own, which is what makes me sad lol. I have no idea how much i could make if i did sell mine, but i'm pretty sure it'd be in the thousands of dollars! Which might give you an inkling of how much i love Schleich lol. But to think of selling is horror!default smiley xd

The reason I wanna sell them is cause I dont want them rotting away in a box in the attic, cause I possibly wont have any space in my room when we changed my room and I cant put them in a box in my closet cause I am getting a smaller closet and my parents still wanna put some stuff in my closet, they said I would get the same closet as my sister has and with the amound of clothes I have plus the stuff my parents want to put in my closet once I have it I will only have a little bit of hanging space and thats not enough, so no space for mu schleich also my mom said that I would get a bookcase for my schleich but I wont have space for that cause I already have a bookcase for just my books and I am gonna need a bigger desk so that my hamster cage can sit on my desk. like.... no space atall cause my room is getting smaller (like a lot), I am sorry for my little rant.
