Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Yeah, so putting on spurs or a GA when they have been trained won't increase the skills any less than it would if you put them on when they hit 3 years?

I love Xbreeding. Check out "The White Album", the first Quarter Pony X with 18 stars and presently the number 1 Elite QP.

http://www.howrse.com/elevage/chevaux/cheval?id=9792950

We also had the first Quarter Ponies with 1000 skills Earthquake! and Aftershock!
Basically RB except at 3 years old they will be useful for all comps rather than later on when they are done only for the money making comps default smiley (lol)

Lovely horses stoneturtle default smiley (y)

Hehehe My QP 'Lol Moo' was top of Quarter Pony overall skills and dressage default smiley :p But got knocked down Hehe default smiley :p
BM items don't "increase" skills. They only give a boost in competitions. Nothing else.

The spurs description says it 'increases' horses skills.
It should be like 'boosts skills' or something ;p
It should, you're right. default smiley xd

Has anybody ever played with Marwari crosses before? I want to try a few... >.> And it has nooothing to do with the fact that the new graphics for them look epic...

I was going to try a Marwari cross too but the highest GP coverings arent that good default smiley (o)
Which is why they would be good to cross with something with huge GP that matches well... default smiley ;) You'd own the skills board.

What breed of stallion would be the best to breed to one of my paint mares?(besides Arab and TBs)
default smiley (lol) I remember that feeling.. I love to BLUP its just.. all the paassessss! o_o I can honestly say I've BLUP'd without any BM items, though. Sakura Drops was my first and only and had a GA added *after* she was BLUP'd and bred.

Ive started on my Newfie.
Im using WOY and Arms but no Timer.
Its gonna take a while default smiley (lol) default smiley :p
By Retired breeder, 28th April 2010 15:33:16
That's exactly what I have on my newfie too. I wish I had had timer to put on her though because it is rather slow.default smiley (lol)
RGCL - I've done that a couple of times. I've usually blupped by 13 years and bolded all skills by 18 to 19 years.
I find hot/cold compresses very helpful for my mouse hand afterwardsdefault smiley :-))
