Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Your welcome.
would you say that doing speed and dressage then getting 20 wins is the best way for any crossbreeds?

Crosses tend to be good in several different things instead of mainly one. Their skills can be more spread out or mainly in one category. It all depends on what you breed for. What I like is the variety. With purebreds you kind of know what the baby will be like but crosses can be so surprising! You think you kow what to expect and then a foal catches you by surprise! Mine do well in almost all comps and I know other cross breeders's just kill every comp they enter! They can aso beat out the purebreds in the rankings. Say you take a breed that has low trot and breed it to a standie. You may just get the #1 trot for that breed!default smiley (a)

Purplespyro-yes I am saying that training speed and dressage and then getting the wins is usually best.

I put my filly with two stars in every category up for sale. I hope she sells but since people want so many HOP's it is hard to sell for even one pass.
Yeah, I know what you mean.

BTW, does anybody mind taking a look at my QP cross in the sales?

Need Advice!! I just got a new mare, Stereo Love, and i want a foal with better gallop and jumping. On top of her skills. What is the best breed to breed with?

¿Stereo L♥ve?
FreedomCC, do you want the foal to remain a Standardbred? If not, then you could breed her to a Hano since they have the best jump and some gallop.

I'm doing appaloosa crosses... i'm doing them with thorughbreds.. any other suggestions you people have.. i want something with high gallop.. speed & dressage...
I got lucky again with crossbreeding with the use of tears/wand! This time, I used them on my TB and bred to the highest gp paint in public covers. Here is one of the twins that was produced:

TB/Paint cross filly

237ibs! The foal will hit 23* after games too! default smiley (7)

NICE filly nikita!
Wolf Luva- I've got a few appendix QH and appendix TB, and maybe I can help you start that up if you do want to start breeding appendix Qhs.

Oh, and chickentender, I did something like that with an App cross. [url=http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=9925727]Indian Sunrise/url] is an App/Tb/Paint cross. She is close to 18*, although I could get higher if I used a higher starred Tb/Paint mare of mine, but this foal was kind of an experiment. She is high in speed, dressage, and gallop. Maybe App/Tb/Paint fits your liking?

Can anyone tell me what comp this filly would be best at?
Filly
Gallop/X-country/showjumping would work
