It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

At the moment, it's not difficult for me to keep track as I'm not into very high gens and am still mostly working with my current foundations - I have a naming system in place, with works like this:

[name] [GP points above 350] [generation] [affix]

So, as an example using an actual horse:

Megafauna 6.32 1 of Teppelin NIBs

(I use F for the generation of foundies).

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I pair my ponies off and only have one breeding session with them. So far I've never had any confusion about who's bred with who and who I can still use.

I'm having a very difficult time getting wins with one of my foundie Newfies (unfortunately he's almost all the way trained already and 19) and was wondering if anyone could offer advice on which comps would be best for me to concentrate on with him... http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=3019730 (sorry, not sure how to make a word like on the forums). Rymskynx - If you enter him in some open for all trot races, I'll enter one of my fillers to help the comp run, you should be able to beat him default smiley :) His trot level is about 9%.

hello all...

i am considering dabbling in NIB with morgans and bought quite a few foundies and a few NIB horses here recently...

i notice there is no GP listed above for morgans and no thread for morgans on rivenwood's NIB page...

is it that there are just not many people working with morgans in this manner yet?

rhavennah, the only person I know for sure who's breeding NIB morgans is Yankee Lady. There may have been others that have posted that just haven't submitted a GP for the list.

Hey guys. I'm doing NIB Paint Horses. Right now I've got one NIB mare, One NIB filly, and hopefully more to come! Both my mare and the stallion I bred her to are new horses with Gaia and Oruanos as their only lineage. Hopefully there are more NIB paints out there. If anyone has a Stallion I'll be wanting to breed my mare again when she's ready.

Just a thought here if you are not so concerned about the names of the horses right away.
For now, I keep track of my RDH this way. I name all of them according to their sex and when I got them - example RDH-FEM-L or RDH-MALE-E. Then, when I breed them, I keep track of them the following way - I name them such as RDH-FEM-ME/FL. Name is explained as RDH(breed) - FEM(sex) - ME(Male E)/FL(Female/L). It works for now. I am however thinking of using a geneology program that I have in my computer once the breeding expands out.

I should have said that they are named alphabetically - A through Z for each sex. PM me if you want me to explain better or take a look at my page to see what I am doing there.

the RDH I have laying around

I have a foundy RDH that I linked above. I bought for fairly cheap but added the coat to him (which is supposed to be retired since the creator of the coat is long since removed from horse as in retired breeder.....). PM with decent offers or I may try to raise the horse up for you if you'd like. the RDH is very young, only 4 years so not too bad haha.

Wasn't necessarily trying to sell, I'm willing to raise the horse up as well to do custom breedings if someone really wants. I bought him long enough ago that it doesn't show how much for lol and I don't breed RDH's.

Oh and Riven do you have any idea as to why that coat isn't retired even though it's creator is?default smiley (o)

If anyone sees the stallion above in Arabian XC comps at around 74-91% please add some fillers default smiley ;). The last couple of days he has been getting tons of 3rd place wins and nothing else. He finally maxed out on the skill gains from Jumping, Stamina and Dressage from the comps but still have to finish the skilling in training default smiley :p

I have many that dont reach 100 blup cause many already at 100 B are flooding shows.. I just wait and wait that they change show system so I finally can get those howrses without many BM items to 100 blup also.
I have most breeds so if you need buddy thats same time online check out with me I live in sweden and go after scandinavian time default smiley ;)

thats problem with low count NIB they cannot always reach 100 B thou timer.
it really bugs me caise I think my babies arent that kousy just cause they are NIB.

Hey! I am looking for a black piebald chincoteague pony mare. I keep bidding in the auctions but a certain player keeps getting into a bidding war with me and WINNING! lol

I'm watching 2 in the auctions right now, but that player I mentioned is bidding in one again, so I have no confidence that I'll win it, lol.
