It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

That is where my NIB garuantee comes in. It covers horses with my NIB affixes.
By Retired breeder, 13th December 2009 14:03:16
I had a feeling it was one that had been culled from your program. I suppose the player selling either hasn't realised about the disappeared horses or it simply didn't cross their mind as something that might mean the horse is not a NIB (although in this case you know the history and he is NIB, not many NIB breeders would be interested in horses with gaps in their lineage).

BLUPing the ponies here again, waiting on wins... I'm finishing bolding one and going through comps with the other, when they're both done I get to breed - definitely my favourite part of NIBing, I love seeing what I get with each foal.
By Retired breeder, 13th December 2009 14:14:21
Hmmm, thinking of a NIB affix for mustangs any idea's
By Retired breeder, 13th December 2009 14:24:16
I really want to start breeding NIB mustangs. I am looking for a foal where I can get the max GP gain or an adult with 351.20 GP, but I can't find one anywhere, even though I am willing to pay very high pricesdefault smiley :(
By Retired breeder, 13th December 2009 14:25:58
Mustangs are actually pretty difficult to find as there was a much more limited amount than the World Tour breeds or Hackneys. From time to time they do come up in the sales, but they're usually quite pricey. I picked one up recently (351.20 adult), I think it was about 25,000e?
By Retired breeder, 13th December 2009 14:27:20
i'm buying a few and before you do buy them make sure you do check up on the lines heres a example;

Christmas

Willow - foundation
352.77 wild At heart - 2nd gen
Hidalgo 468 - foundation
Dream (retired) - foundation

Major SR

Morphine - Foundation
Abby - Foundation

Palouse

Callisto - Horse disapeared
Mustang - foundation

if you can read well done lol default smiley :d
By Retired breeder, 13th December 2009 14:28:48
Foundies in general seem to have encountered rather an upsurge in price lately. Thank Inner default smiley :) You are right he was a culling by me. Even though I know his lineage I figured it was best to remove him from my affix.
There are a few I had to cull from my herd as well. I was rather bummed as I had a few that were 356 GP 2nd gens and I had a couple others that had a limited use affix that was from my breeding partnership with Juniortrainer....before her account was deleted. I took a break not long after she left and after Legacy and her left I never had the desire to replace my breeding partners. So still doing free lance default smiley :p

lively I replied about all of my foundies.

As for the upsurge in the price of foundies the prices I am paying now for arabians is roughly the same as I used to but around 1.5yrs ago I could get them for cheaper with more known NIB arabian breeders bidding against me even default smiley (lol)

Another question: Is anyone breeding Welshes and Chinco ponies?

I would love to breed NIB Mustangs, but yes, trying to find a foundation is a nightmare. I'm hoping that soon Mustang unis will be coming out so I can try and get a few of them.

By Retired breeder, 13th December 2009 18:25:46
Yayy! Congrats default smiley :)
By Retired breeder, 13th December 2009 18:31:22
I have a 351.2 Mustang that I bought when they first came out. Also I have a Shetland, Morgan, and Barb, though they are all 4 months old, so just the 350 GP. If anyone is interested, they can PM me.

I breed Welsh's, and my current highest is 359.75, bought from a good friend and fellow NIBer, who currently holds the top spot for NIB Welsh. I haven't trained anything on here in forever, that foal was sold to me in March! But once I pair him with my 357 mare it will be well over the 360 marker. I'm just finishing up entering him in competitions and then completing his training.

I need some new blood into my lines though, they are basically all owned by me, if anyone knows someone with even 354+ for stud or willing to lease out as a mare, please ask them to contact me default smiley :) I'll even go for a new OxG mare, since someone requested a covering from my Runshaw Hafog, who is 355 to their OxG mare, and the foal was a 358 at birth.

Thanks!
By Retired breeder, 13th December 2009 19:03:26
I just purchased a connie mare for 500e (because she was so cheap-and I'm fairly sure that she's NIB)
but I don't know about her family tree. I did check it, but one of her ancestors has parents that have disappeared. I checked the horse in question, and the skills weren't too outrageous for a NIB, and it looked like a typical foal out of two foundies. I still don't know if that would be considered NIB though. Anyone want to take a look at her and see? This is her.
