It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

@riverdoe: here on the English version I am NIBing Chincos. default smiley :d
Attention NIB PSH Breeders:
.
If there are any NIB PSH breeders out there interested in coverings for their mares, I have 2 standing foundation studs.
.
1BS Senor Milo, 351.20 GP, 100 BLUP, 386.23% skills, 15 years 1 month white stallion, has produced many fine foals over the years. He has been retired for the last year and just came out of retirement today. His normal fee is 1,000e but is only 500e for NIB breeders.
.
1BS Mtztery, 351.20 GP, 100 BLUP, 381.48% skills, 14 years 6 months dark bay stallion, is just starting his breeding career but has produced a couple of nice foals. His normal fee is 400e but is only 200e for NIB breeders.
.
Check them out if you are looking for good PSH foundation studs. I always make sure that they are at 100% energy, health, and morale when covering and ask that the mares be also, have found this can make difference in quality of foal. Will only cover 100% PSH mares.

I need some advice here.

My horse Painted Slate just got a TOG. I'm currently doing rides with him, his gain is (energy: -33, dressage: +0.3, speed: +0.42, galloping: +0.31).

Should I stop his training to compete, or is the bonus not big enough to compensate for his shortcomings?

Thanks for responding.
By Retired breeder, 15th December 2009 11:55:02
LoloJean; If that was my horse I'd train him at least 2 categories, then comps and then finishing off rides. But off course that's just my opinion default smiley ;)
By Retired breeder, 15th December 2009 11:56:34
You could try him in very very low difficulty trot and gallop - you'll only be going against other foundies at his current level and they are often not trained at all. I wouldn't normally enter unless speed and dressage are both fully trained, but if you check out races that already have other horses in and he can beat them, give it a go as he may pick up a couple of easy wins. I'd invest in a filler if you can find one, to boost his chances.
yay! Picked up a 351.2 foundie Marwari for 900e again it isn't my breed though....default smiley :p

Will someone please check out my horses §Snowflake Symphony§ and §Let it Snow§ and tell me if they would produce good NIB foals. They are both foundi immortals and I have never NIB bred before. Could the foal be worth much?:default smiley *-)

Once they are 100 BLUP they should do alright. 354GP or better. I would also bold all skills while you are at it since they are immortal and it won't hurt to add the extra skill for their foals default smiley ;)
