It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

Curious about NIB horses? Want to know what a NIB horse is? You've come to the right place!

What is this topic for? NIB enthusiasts to find each other and help one another progress in their respective games.
Otherwise, you may use this topic to help others learn about NIBs, share your experience, and find friends that breed NIBs default smiley :)

Please do not use this topic for advertising horses for sale.

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Triple posting... omg so many changes - see spoiler below. have I forgotten anything? Probably default smiley (lol)

Click to display

- ideas forum removed
- foal games have been changed more than once
- pets have been removed

- we can now put wings on unicorns
- 3 draft horse breeds have been added to the game: Drum Horses, Percheron and Shire (they can only be bred 3 times)
- we can put wings on draft horses

- you can now buy a unicorn without paying passes. May not have super high GP but it's possible to buy one.
- objectives have been removed
- throphies have been introduced

- we now have very little space between promos. Typically only a few days
- we typically have more than one promo running at the same time. As in a promo where we have to preform tasks to participate. And then a mini promo that costs passes - example win X divine opening TC's etc.

- many many divine have been added to the game
- introduction of a new BM item called Fleece (it's a luck item like HOP's but cost 2 passes)
- introduction of a special BM item called Seal of the Apocalypse (SOA). The group holds 4 different coats and the one called Pestilentia is the most difficult one to get.
- Introduction of a special BM item called Magic Hat. The groups holds 4 different coats.
- introduction of a special BM item called Double Sided Medallion . Group holds 4 different coats.
- introduction of a BM item called errr Wanderers or something similar. Allows you to put a wandering horse GA on your pixel horse. There are a lot of that series (see your trophies). The coat you get is random

- All horse breeds have gotten new regular coats.
- introduction of a new kind of GA called a Vintage Apple (VA)
Their only available as a price in promos, or when they decide to give us an option to buy them in mini promos. Allows you to give your horse a V3 looking GA. (Example this one)

- introduction of new covering fees. The fee you have to pay depends on how much Eccus you have. The more you have the more expensive it becomes to cover a mare.
There is a max amount set. But I've forgotten how high it is. 10.000 maybe? Anyone? (I bank my Ecuus in fodder before I cover my mares. Makes the fee cheaper)

- The EC has been transformed.
- you can choose if you want Western or classical specialty.
- you have to choose a location for your EC - mountain, beach or forest. Each location gives you specific resources.

- introduction of various new items in the EC
- introduction of workshops to craft items
- we can now raise cows - and "harvest" leather after a month. It can then be used to craft items like bell boots, saddles and more.
- removal of employees

- introduction of new employees that cost you passes or damonds. You hire them for one month or more. There are 11 employees. Like the Vet, the groom and many more. Each employee helps you make your better EC in various ways.

- introduction of the Expert diploma. Available in HOP promos. Doubles the bonus of you employees, and are hard to find in HOP's.

- removal of 350 GP horses (2015)
- introduction of rolling gain foundies (2015)

- rookies comps have been changed. Now the gap between higher and lower GP stock is over 250%, and both the lower and higher GP horses can see the same competitions

- introduction of a new help forum

Wow! That's a lot of changes! Lots of helpful info right there! Thank you default smiley ^)

I sadly sacrificed one of my GF in order to find out about the new system. They do not come with P Stones and they are rolling gp foundies. So if you're interested in breeding with the new foundations, you should pm me. I'm not even sure which side of the fence I'm going to fall on as far as new vs old. I guess I'll wing it and keep looking into things.
Thanks dark_angel2788. Yep quite overwhelming isn't it default smiley (lol)

I just realized I forgot 4 default smiley :p

- introduction of teams. VIP's can create 2 teams and join up to 10 (if the VIP holder has chosen that option. if not it's only possible to join 2).
Non VIP's cannot create teams, and can only join 2.
The hole team feature is a tad complicated. Hre's a link to the help section. Choose section 5 >> 5.4

- Introduction of the VIP account. You pay passes 10 per month or 50 for half a years subscription. You get an option to choose special perks.

Examples:
- 1 boarding if you have the divine Spring
- Autofeed
- Early access to new GA's
- Cancel boarding on our own horses boarded in your EC
- More breeding farms
- An option to buy a cloud pack
- Craft horse studs (a bonus item)
- Create 2 teams
...... and many many more options.
- VIP's have access to a VIP forum.

- we can put wings on unicorns

- an option to put medusas blood on a horse that has a none winged GA, without the horse loosing the GA. The blood is just added as a bonus.

...ooops mentioned unis twice - well they are nice default smiley (lol)
and so many typos..sorry bout that.

No wonder your confused. A lot has happened and more is on it's way.

I did buy a few PSH's rolling gain a while back. Don't have a lot of them only like 14 I think. Like the breed but their expensive. And I kinda have plenty projects running right now.

Thanks for the offer. I will remember default smiley :)
Do you have a specific breed in mind?

Who knows maybe howrse will throw a new breed our way soon. Been a very very long time since we got one.

Going for the old GP foundies is going to be very expensive. If unis even more so I'm afraid.
If you have a non uni favorite breed you could check out sales and see just how many are around maybe? If you decide to do rolling gains?

Did you confirm that with a mod? I know back when I was green, players were free to host advertisement threads in their own forums, as long as they followed the overall game rules (no ads for services, item trafficks and what-not). Of course it's possible there was a rule change and I missed it.

A pro-tip, for those trying to set sale value on foundies: don't just look at how much horses are listed for, look at how long they've been on sale. If the horse has been sitting in sales for a week or two, it's overpriced - if you really want to move a horse, go lower.

I just looked for rolling gain foundies too, and I'm a little disappointed at the ones I found. default smiley :s

There's hardly any babies and the adults are nowhere near BLUPed the way I would be doing them so there's a lot to make up for.

Looks like my shopping impulses are suppressed for a while default smiley xd
Advertising is allowed in EC forums provided you have permission of the EC owner. default smiley :) You guys should be able to make a nice buy/sell thread for NIBs in someone's forum.

If I get confirmation from a mod, I'll set one up just for us default smiley :)

If you go to the Game Play/EC Classifieds forums, there are "Censored messages" topics where the OP advertised and the mod listed appropriate places for ads. EC forums are one of them. default smiley :)

I'm torn over adding rolling gain foundies to my collection. They'll cause a big difference along certain lines of breeding, so is it worth it?

I'm so conflicted. default smiley :s
By Retired breeder, 20th May 2017 21:48:24
@Poindextra

That's where I'm at. It sounds like a lot of extra work. There might be more profit in it though. Gotta fund the addiction default smiley :d
I don't see why not Poindextra as long as you don't mix them with the old 350 / 351.2.
You could add them to the old foundies I suppose, but the gigantic GP jump from the old to the new GP would look kinda weird in the same affix. At least to me they would.

But I know what your saying - I had troubles at first when Northener asked me if I wanted to start a NIB project with RG Drums.

I do not consider them true foundies, and I don't get the same fuzzy feeling when I look at them, like I do with my Shagya
But they have grown on me a lot, and I'm frankly quite fond of them now. I have troubles accepting the roller-coaster GP I get on the offspring though.
Like when I breed at 3rd gen with nice GP, and I then breed a first gen that has way higher GP than the 3rd.

Wow I feel like an overachiever - close to having blupped and bred 50 of my first gen Shagya.

Has taken me a while - started this project way back in October 2015 default smiley <:o)

The reason I haven't gotten any further generation wise, is because I want to breed and BLUP all the first gens before I move on to blupping the second gens.

Wonder how many foundies I have left. I should kinda go count them.... maybe I will later.

I went a little haywire trying to breed down to gen 3 and see two stars, so I have a lot of foundies that need work default smiley xd

But, I'll catch up again soon enough. Mostly I'm working them all at least once a day, and aging the ones up that are close to BLUP 100 that can breed.

I also have auto-buys set up for Shires so I don't miss any hopefully. default smiley :d

Best of luck with your hard work Poindextra default smiley (y)

I need to start working on my second gen Drum, so my 3rd gen can have a mate. I'm out of bolts and diamonds so it will have to wait a little, until I've got enough diamonds. But it's fine I've got time to wait.
I can just BLUP foundies and breed them. And the first gen above once again outranks my 3rd gens 1953.29.

The GP sure is all over the place as we've talked about already.
If nothing else, it makes me shake my head in wonder, while I chuckle about the silliness off those numbers.

Ohhh man, bolts.

I'm gonna need so many default smiley :s I keep finding boys in the sales and I'm like default smiley :o Where are the girlies??! default smiley xd

Time to save some passes default smiley (m)
default smiley (lol) I hear you Poindextra.

Out of 6 current blups, 3 need a bolt.
And the next 8 waiting in line - 4 needs bolts.

I love my diamond pooping divine default smiley ^)

Just ugh RG Drums are getting difficult to find. Sure would be nice with a search option for foundies.

Hi Tekoa
I just checked what I have foundie wise. The one I has isn't blupped yet I'm afraid.

Players that NIB Marwari are Comatose, lanikot and dark_angel2788. I don't know if they offer covers, but you could ask them.
