It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

Curious about NIB horses? Want to know what a NIB horse is? You've come to the right place!

What is this topic for? NIB enthusiasts to find each other and help one another progress in their respective games.
Otherwise, you may use this topic to help others learn about NIBs, share your experience, and find friends that breed NIBs default smiley :)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

@Asfridur @Pearl Onyx oh thank you for letting me know!
I can totally relate. It's a very unique way to breed and play.

I was jumping around squealing when I hit 100 first generation Shagya.
Friends and family just gave me funny looks when I told them default smiley ^)
My goal with the Shagya is to have 200 first gens at least. Only have 120 right now so it will take me a while to get there.
Need more than 200 first gens to be able to breed 10 generations, but I should be able to make it to 9.

Not quite sure just how many first gens I'll be able to breed with the Drums. I need loads more to make 100 I think.
So since the Drums are available it sure does look like I'll go for an army project on those as well default smiley (lol)

I could potentially get that Wandering horse.
I have a uni foundie mare that's close to 40 y old. But I'm not going for the divine, so not at all sure I want to waste clouds on her.

I'm only going to get 6 points per HOP opened on the wanderer called Atoll.
And I will only get 5 points when I remove wings on pegs. So I'm freeloading the event.

Shame since the divine offers a diamond fairly often.

I'll have 2 more Orig. Foundies done tomorrow, so the day after...there'll be bred pairs for adoption. Icelandic and Kwpn.

Have had great luck with APs too, so I will go blup crazy later. Oops...typed lazy at first instead of later. Well, I have been lazy lol

LOL Asfridur don't worry, I'm having bad luck with some of the other ones, so don't worry! default smiley ;)
Guys, I am a purebred breeder, but I do have a question - if a foal has a foundie on one side of family tree, and a disappeared horse on the other side, do you consider it a NIB horse? Do disappeared horses in any branch of the family tree automatically clear any inbreeding considerations on their part in relation to the foal (I mean higher up in the tree on that line)?

@Poindextra I've now covered 30 mares and have 8 unis - it's worth than pulling teeth default smiley (lol)

@PrimeHellix hi there.
Normally the horse is not considered a NIB if you cannot trace it's ancestry.
If the horse was bought before the ancestors disappeared, and the player has written down the ancestry so it can be verified as a NIB, it is still possible for the horse to be considered a NIB though.

Some players take screen shots and/or write down the ancestors unique ID, and the horse can then be traced.

How ever most NIB'ers prefer to own all their stock so they do not have the "horse disappeared" in any offspring's pedigree.

It is not possible for an inbred horse to be considered a NIB.
A horse is only a NIB when all it's ancestors are unique - as in all mares and stallions can only be used once.

oh my... typo galore - I meant to post

A horse is only a NIB when all it's ancestors are unique - so all the mares and stallions are only listed once, when you trace the pedigree..

I won't say I have abandoned it entirely, I just don't do much with them, which is kinda sad :/

So I've done some math (woah) and I figure I have enough Hackney's to get a 4th gen. Might take a while, but off I go.

Sorting horses after VIP expiry dropped my breeding farms is my least favourite hobby default smiley xd

But once that's done I'll know for sure if I've made it down to Gen 4 by now.
My NIB GP Entry
Horse's Name: 3G Colt 583.05
Horse's Breed (purebreds only please): Hanoverian
Current GP: 583.05
Link to the Horse's Page: 3G Colt 583.05

I've actually had this foal for awhile but kept forgetting to submit him lol.

Also, not my highest GP NIB Hanoverian, but I wanted to show off my highest GP NIB Hanoverian Unicorn! She is also my first unicorn I got since this promo started. I've probably bred my uni's 30+ times both here and my US account and she is the first uni I got. This promo is not making me happy....

Anyways, HERE SHE IS and she has 562.46 GP.

Omg, that would not be fun. I remember transferring over 100 foals to a new tab and I had to do it over the course of a couple days. And now I'm regretting doing it because I want a tab for my non-NIB unicorns that I'm playing around with. But I don't want to go through putting them back in my other tab default smiley xd

I finally finished them, thank GOODNESS default smiley :o

But man, was it difficult. I've got tonnes of foundies to work with and one Gen3 baby that needs some love.

Gen 1 and 2 are BLANK default smiley xd Other than my retirees who go in a separate folder. Otherwise if I'm still working them I name them according to their progress.
I need to make a barn for my donkeys yet. Being a rebel, I intend to breed their GP up, so I blup and fully bold. Got my 1st set this morning.

Looks like by next weekend, I'm comping an orig. Shire foundy. I'll have to finally get my orig. QH foundies going, which I keep putting off because something new comes along default smiley xd

Oh my default smiley (7) those are NICE Axel'sMommy.
Congratulations on getting a horned version!

I forgot to enter a NIB yesterday ... oops.

@Poindextra - oh my word that must have been a nightmare.

Working on the Drums. Highest gen I have is a 3rd gen.
Working some RG foundies and some first gens.
And I kinda bought some more RG foundies. Wonder how many I've got.

And of course happily trotting along with the Shagya and the Don unis.
Checked sales for Don foundies and almost fainted 2 are there one set at 10 passes the other at 20 default smiley :o

Goodness the prices are high! default smiley :o

Also, thank you! I was super excited to finally get the uni. I really need to work on getting a 4th gen. I have enough uni's to do that, but I need to get back to focusing on my horses as well. I have enough to get to.. well, I honestly don't know what generation, but I could get pretty high up there lol.

Also, random, but for this promo I need 1,000 comps and it's killing me. I don't ever do comps except when I'm trying to BLUP lol.

I'm working on a pair of Shires that I'm BLUPping and bolding.

Then I'll have a new Gen 1 baby/set of babies to work with.

If anyone wants one of them, let me know! I'm sure I can work something out.
