Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Hi guys. I found some old recipes for different breeds of horses. I might be trying a few. For instance the Mangalarga Marchador. For some reason that is an actual horse breeddefault smiley :d

Finally got my Nyx default smiley :) Now I just have to figure out what to breed. Would an Arab/Selle be a good cross or maybe QH/Selle, for something different?

Depends on what you want!

If you want the same top 3 skills:

If you want an all-around classical:
Morgan: Dressage, jumping, speed, stamina, trot, gallop
KWPN: dressage, jumping, speed, gallop, trot, stamina
Shetland: Jumping, speed, dressage, stamina, gallop, trot
Selle Français: jumping, speed, dressage, stamina, gallop, trot
Australian Pony: jumping, speed, dressage, gallop, stamina, trot
Hanoverian: Jumping, speed, gallop, dressage, stamina, trot
Newfoundland Pony: Jumping, speed, gallop, dressage, stamina, trot
Holsteiner: jumping, gallop, dressage, stamina, speed, trot

If you want an all-around western:
Irish Hunter: Dressage, Stamina, gallop, jumping, speed, trot
Lippizan: Dressage, gallop, stamina, speed, trot, jumping
Thoroughbred: Gallop, speed, dressage, stamina, jumping, trot
Quarter Horse: Gallop, dressage, speed, jumping, stamina, trot
Welsh: Gallop, dressage, speed, jumping, stamina, trot

If you want something completely opposite:
Nokota: Dressage, Trot, Jumping, stamina, speed, gallop
Knabstrupper: dressage, trot, jumping, gallop, speed, stamina

These are just reccommendations of what I'd try, but there you go (skills are listed highest to lowest by the way)

I have a Gypsy mare (her) and I have a Crio foal that I could blup and bolt for you (or I could breed another for you) that's him. And I also have this little filly. I can also always breed something as I have a Gypsy mare that I could breed and a Selle mare.

Wow I've been gone a long time- But I suddenly have found myself without a competitive team, so I'm gonna focus on crossbreeding again.

Anyone got suggestions for a good trot cross? I need more of those in my life default smiley xd
