The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Morgan Mare, 6 Minutes

Summerdreamers, it depends on a lot of things, but mostly the inborn skills. Like were both parents totally finished with training? (all stats bolded) Was their BLUP high? That gives the babies better stats and the ability to earn more...I think. Not entirely sure how that part works. And I think foals from foundation parents are worth more?
1st gens price depends on the breed and how popular it is first off. The GP and In Born Skills and it's ability to gain dressage skills which people like for their EC's

SoulReaper, I thought you were staying aay from auctions? Hahadefault smiley xd
By Retired breeder, 13th January 2010 12:31:39
I know, I so should have, but I caaan't -dies-

Whoot! I got a PoC from UFO... -pokes people to try and sell it-

I need money, got a decent horse for 10K cuz it had a retired coat worth 15K and the horse looks really nice, already over 200 stats, so if I stat it and BLUP it I can get more for the horse worth and the retired coat. ^_^ Plus it has lots of BM items...and then I got a foundie male arab for my roommate when he can access private sales.
Forest Queen,

I'm so sorry to hear about Chief that stinks that someone would put him in safe haven default smiley :(

I cracced yesterday and bid on foundation barb but then I had to go to sleep and didn't get it. That's kinda good since I really should just save money so I don't have to start selling my clouds (11 of them in stock default smiley :p). But if anyone buys foundie barbs (untouched) they really don't need, I might be able to buy some later on.
By Retired breeder, 13th January 2010 16:44:25
I just picked up a 6month foundation welsh in the private sales for only 1000e!
Nice I haven't found foundation Arabians for that price. I wish I could. Even when I do I have a hard time winning it.
