It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

@Yankee Lady. Moonrider used to NIB them (she posted on the previous page), looks like she’s not seriously looking for more stock right now.
Cannot link to the post I’m using a tablet right now.

I have thought of picking them up myself. But will need to check just how many I do have, and then I’ll get back to you. If I only have like a couple then.... we’ll see when I get home default smiley :)

I checked my 0 GP's... I only have a staggering 2 Morgans right now. I'm slowly working both f them. So I'm hardly a NIB'er of that breed default smiley (lol)

Hope you find someone who will adopt them Yankee Lady

I have a lot of breeds, most of the old ones anyway, in OG foundations that I'm trying to find homes for. Seem to keep getting more. For NIBers I charge basically bottom price unless they are unicorn or have GA coat (each of those adds 100e to the price). I simply collect them for NIBers. I always enjoyed NIBing but just don't have the patience or time for it now.

Just got a bunch of Highland Pony and Icelandic Pony OG foundations today, in fact.

Hope this doesn't get censored. Just want to help all the NIBers out as I remember how hard it was to get foundations when I was NIBing (2007-2011).

I miss Rivenwood. Has anyone heard from her recently?

I just discovered a player who has LOTS of foundations from a number of different breeds. Can't remember them all but know there were Canadians, Quarter Horses, Selles, Criollos, Welsh, KWPN, Standardbred, Australian Pony, and Connemaras among others.

She is holding them for me (have recently purchased all her Chinco Ponies) but will sell to NIBers -- just mention my name, Yankee Lady, so she knows you are an NIBer.

Or, since I pay her prices but sell for a fraction to NIBers, if you see one you like, contact me and I will purchase it for you.

Good luck to all NIBers. YL

Are there any NIB teams out there? I’d love to join one, maybe Camargues?

Officially announcing; I am now breeding NIB Camargue default smiley <:o)

I’m looking forward to getting back into NIB breeding. Seriously though, why not have NIB teams for the different breeds? We could help each other out more with wins, finding foundations for sale, etc.

People have tried teams before! It can be tricky, because if one person decides to bail out of the game and horses left on their account 'disappear', that leaves holes in your pedigree so you can't prove they're NIB any more (the same reason many NIBers are wary of outside covers).

But, like I said, it *has* been done. There was a team of folks who did outstanding work with Fjords a few years back (and those original Fjords were tough, since the game changed their skill set not long after their release). Just make sure you really trust the people you team up with.

true But I was thinking more along the lines of support, like everyone has their own thing going on with NIB breeding but if someone needs help blupping a foundy or finds a good deal on foundations in the sales, etc.

More like a gathering place for NIB breeders of the same breed?

The NIB community is pretty awesome when it comes to helping others fill for comps and everything. We do have a discord if you're interested default smiley :) We don't generally break up into different breeds and instead we help the community as a whole <3

Yes! I’d very much be interested. When last I did NIB breeding there wasn’t anything like that.

That is one thing about the NIB community that I am glad hasn't changed since the early years -- willingness to help each other. Even those of us who are no longer active NIBers try to provide support and experience to those who are active.

Plus it is a place to see who is breeding what, and maybe strike up some friendships along the way. Although not active the last few years due to health issues, I am happy to still see some of the same names I remember from the past.

Way to go, NIBers.

Yes, I’ve been NIBBING default smiley (lol) a long time ago, had a lot of the old foundations from towards the beginning of various breeds with the old GA coats, had a few DAs among them. Sadly, that account was deactivated ( breaks my heart to think about it). I’d sign in on occasion but apparently I waited too long at one point. default smiley :'(

Walked away from NIB for a while because I was disheartened from the new foundations but apparently I’m over that now and I’m excited to get back into things.

I’ve started an account on Discord, I’m JLynn on there. Where do I go from there?

Fyrehawk2007, If you're talking original foundations then just entry entry entry entry entry! It does help to have fillers to get wins. I'm helping my friend Shisei get her Immortal Foundation wins (because at this point all original foundations almost need to be immortal to get all of their wins!! o.0) and I get maybe 1 or 2 wins on a horse a month.

I am actually going to be starting some NIBBing with the Camargues! Just collecting right now, then sorting to see what I need yet, etc.

Twinjodi - Thanks for the advice. So basically do what Im already doin haha. That means some of my horses will need to wait till they're immortal b4 I can start winning them. Ah well... Too bad Howrse wont do something for the extreme low lvls like that (Like make special races that has a max GP).

Right now, I'm just aging some of the OGs and buyin some RGs to throw in my mix, cuz they're still foundies!, though not lookin forward to races. If anyone wants to help me with some wins, that'd be awesome! I can help as well, I have so many horses that sit and do nothing and dont have the skills to actually win, so if anyone needs some fillers, if Im on, I'll fill for yas...
