[Info] The Retired Coat Gallery

This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

*#*#*#* If players feel the need break the main topic rules, such as sales ads/coat countdowns/spares-you can expect an instant forum ban without any warning prior to it *#*#*#*

That is what I call the Syncopation coat after the greatest Stud in paint history. He has a coat like that and I would give anything to own him.

It is a glitched retired coat.

hi watz r u doin
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm16/BloodySphinx/982-normal1.jpg

982 is the coat number and helps everyone know what you are selling, buying, trading or just talking about. Some coats are very similar and there are a ton of black horse coats, cartoon coats, and there is one coat that is stolen from a painting that was used on a rare retired coat.

Any coat under 500 is either retired, deleted, or glitch retired.

I keep asking mods to put my stuff in there to help people.

Glitched retired is an old coat under 500 usually that you are told you cannot buy but if you go through the coats you will find it for sale.

True Retired Coats are coats that cannot be bought.

CraXoR exception is a True Retired Coat that cannot be bought how ever one exception is those coats that are retired by the maker. CraXoR is one person who on occassion makes her coats available to the public. She cannot control who gets the coat but she can open the coat to the public then quickly close it again once the person she wants to have the coat has told her they got the coat. She is the only person I know of who is doing that currently and please do not bug her for the coat.

Wht coats should you buy?
I go for all retired coats first.
Next check out the makers of coats to see who is deleted account or not played for a long time. I buy those when I can as I do not trust Owlient enough and they might just up and delete all the old accounts like the ones who have not played for 2 years.

I also would collect what I love.

IF and I repeat IF you know that a coat is stolen then collecting it might be wise BUT only if Owlient will actually stop making that coat. There are some stolen art that they have known about for a year or more and done nothing. It is a gamble on any purchase you make of an existing coat so be prepared to get stuck with ones that do not retire.

I WANT THIS COAT
There exists images of coats that no longer exist. Owlient tends to just stop the sales of stolen pictures but if it is a blatant theft or if the owner of the original art complains then bye bye and that coat is deleted. There was a rash of Breyer models and Pony Island coats which were yanked. Another problem is the anti-slaughter campaign that used a Sunflower photo that made the owner so upset that they were close to suing Owlient.

You may like some of them deleted coats you find on photobucket and elsewhere but remember that Owlient does not want to be sued. Owlient is condoning illegal behavior when it lets people put stolen stuff on profiles, coats, etc and they can get into big trouble. I do not use images for that reason. My coat was from a line drawing that was a guide and ended up all my own work. Some day I will show you.

the white howrse with rainbow markings is a True Retired Coat.

I just paid 500 and 3 passes for this beauty, lol.

http://static.howrse.com.s3.amazonaws.com/production/goldenApple/1900-normal1.jpg

I have a few I will get rid of in my other howrses but please if you want something post here so others can share with you their excess coats. I would gladly trade instead of paying $25000 for a howrse.

I cannot remember where the rainbow pegasus comes from but someone did take time to add the rainbow. Kind of popular coat.
