I don't think i have too many models from the 90s...probably worth looking into! I don't think ive even seen very many for sale on Ebay. But yeah, flaxen chestnuts are so pretty!default smiley (l)

Why don't they have an official catalogue that lists every new item and set of the year? Sometimes i feel like i'm missing out cause i'm not even aware these sets exist!default smiley :o

Of course, most of the time i can't afford the sets...though i'd like to be aware of them so that i have the opportunity to attempt to get one now and then. Anyway, i splurged a little today. It was our annual big garage sale outing. I didn't score any Schleich at any garage sales sadly, but it ended up ok because we stopped at a store that carries Schleich in one of the larger towns on the way home. I had most everything they had that i would normally buy, but it was my last chance at keeping from going home Schleichless. So i had to step up to those that normally i don't buy cause they are higher priced than i can usually afford. I had a little extra so I ended up leaving with these two:

The first one is the Saddle Bronc Riding With Cowboy.

The other is the Bayala Winged Rainbow Unicorn!

You may or may not recall that i don't tend to collect Bayala much, but i just thought she looked so pretty! Hoping to eventually get the foal version of this one as well.default smiley :)

I've got 34 Schleich horses....I think I bought too much, but I'm addicted, and keep buying them...The sets are so expensive though, and so are the horses! I mainly just stick to buying foals now, but I usually buy two or three at a time (I don't know how my boyfriend stands it XD XD) so I usually end up spending the same or more as I would for an adult horse...I'm better off just buying the ones I like XD

My favourites are the Thouroughbred Stallion who comes in the wash set..he's a creamy bay colour with weird fuzzy black markings on his legs and flanks, and a triangle above his tail... (I called him Ash, but his nickname is Bermuda Triangle...You can guess why..)
I also like the chestnut English Thouroughbred mare..(I think I have an obsession with Thouroughbreds....) She has no markings, exept a white blaze on her face (I called her Fox Trotter, or Foxy)
Then my two fav foals are the Haflinger (I think she is) filly with black markings on her legs...no white markings..I think (I named her Coco D'ors (mind my weird names) or Honey for short)
The other foal is the Knabstrupper colt...white with black leapord spots. (I named him Enigma, but I traded him with my friend who named him Dominoe, but then I traded him back, and now Dominoe is his nickname XD)

I'm pretty out of touch with Schleich at the moment because my family moved to Queensland, and I don't know where any toy shops are that have them (I'm still hunting). Does anyone know what some of the new sets and horses are? Reccomended ones?

Sorry to everyone who read this whole thing.....I just realised how long it is... :/

perhaps they don't release in the usa but schleich definitly has catalogue's going pretty far back i think ive seen them from the 1990's though my oldest is either from 2008 or 2009
schleich does release their catalogues online to but you can only see the newest one. perhaps you can find older ones on sites like ebay. only annoying thing is they don't show exclusives

current catalogue

Yeah, maybe they don't release them in the USA, i don't know!default smiley :$ I knew they had the little catalogues each year with the newbies, but id like something like a master catalogue that has every new thing Schleich makes, and all that are still in production (not yet retired), along with some details, such as where they are available, included. And yes, i'd want it to include exclusives as well! Maybe i'm just too demanding lol. I want somewhere like a site i can go to get solid information that i know is correct and up to date. I do not want a ton of little booklets from every year all over the place. One thing about Schleich that i haven't liked much is the lack of information. The boxes do not list the names of the contents, just a picture of them. The horses do not have the breed on the body or tag (on the tag would be great!) The catalogues i have seen barely have any info either, just more pictures. I'd love to know trivia or any interesting facts about the models (meaning the Schleich models...i know there is a little info about the species on the site, which is great).

I got the new Hanoverian gelding, finally! He's really clean and beautiful!

The other Schleich i got i don't know much about...its the 2014 Shetland Mare, the one with the heart on the rump, but its the special palomino colored one. I never knew she existed, and she doesn't seem to be an exclusive. I'm not sure why they released her. I think she is maybe already retired? She came in the plastic still, but for some reason Schleich did not give her a tag. She is pretty too. Anyway, here she isdefault smiley :)

This is the other one i got today, he is a CollectA model. Its the 2014 Standardbred Pacer Stallion. Here are two pics, one is a little larger.

I would like to hear from any of you who also have him, as i have a question. I added the photos to show detail. In the pictures they are dark black and a bit shiny. The model i got today is indeed black, but does not look like the pics above. For one thing, he looks faded, like he was sitting in the sun too long. But it is not localized...the entire figure looks faded. its like he's covered in dust permanently, and it won't rub off. But i literally just took him out of the plastic, so that's not it either. There are random little places where it looks like somebody handled him with greasy fingers...i guess that's where there is more paint or something. Or like he had some kind of finishing coat or gloss or something at one point, but most of it has been rubbed or worn off. The color is so flat and dull it reminds me of the cars covered with the primer they use before they paint the hot rods at my friend's shop. Only black colored. Is this a fluke, or are yours like that too? I love the stance of the model, but this paint job is disappointing!

she is a pony from the 2019 horse agility sets nr. 42484 schleich horses sold in sets never come with a tag unless the model is also sold seperatly so thats why as far as i know she's not yet retired.

totally agree on you with the catalogues. i used to know a great site but unfortunatly it shut down in 2019 the tiewe site i've mentioned before is also great just a shame it is in german.
i kinda want to make a website for schleich thats like the identify your breyer and collecta ones. but i know nothing about how to make a website so that's annoing.

default smiley xd Imagine that, another set i didn't know about lol. I think the part where i saw it was retired must have been talking about the one color with the heart that sold by itself.

I know nothing about making websites either sigh. And if i could, i would need a source of info that was 100% reliable, but if i had that, i wouldn't need to make the site lol. Anyway yeah, that site you shared before, despite being in German, seemed to be one of the best sources i've seen. I had it bookmarked up by the address bar before, but my computer did some update thingy and now none of my bookmarks are there anymore? Can you please share it again? Or maybe i'll see if i can go back and find it.

Its the Schleich Brown Pelican! He was only available in 2000. I believe there is also a white version that was only available for two years, which i don't have yet. I got this one new or gently used, still with his tag and in perfect shape...very happy to add him to my familydefault smiley :)

my information on schleich horses is pretty reliable. the things i know are either directly from schleich or information that ive seen on sevral reliable websites. but it pretty much ends at the horses since at the moment i only collect those. i am thinking about growing my collection just a lil bit by also collecting the bayala and historical horses. perhaps i'll collect all wild west, knights and bayala things to but my main focus will still be the horses.

Any models or sets y’all recommend me getting because I don’t know what to get default smiley (o)
I finally got some new schleich, its the lioness from 2013 and the lion from 2014, the oldest schleich that had there, almost all of the schleich there was damaged, so I wouldnt recommend going there. It's the Top 1 Toys in Uden, you're better of going to the Intertoys thats in Uden too and they have more schleich there too.
