Howrse turns 20!

HellOw everyone,

It's already been 20 years of Howrse!

20 years of breeding, competing, collecting, sharing, customizing, grinding...

A game is nothing without its players! Thank you for making Howrse what it has been for the last 20 years: a community game where you never play alone.

Let us know what your best memories of Howrse are.default smiley (ow)

Happy Twentieth Anniversary!
Love from the Howrse teamdefault smiley (l)

I'm curious why this new divine requires completing both objectives whereas the first one only required completing one. That means if you don't have hestias and you swap and get "give birth to a unicorn" you have a 4 in 5 chance of not being able to complete it.

Probably because it has 5 years more than Quindecim so they figure any loss of passes due to not doing both objectives would be covered by the extra years, at least that was my take on it.

what I wish they would do is if they don't want to do 2 for just one. if you do one obj you get 1 pass if you do 2 you get 2. instead of you do 1 you get 0. to me that makes sense.

I just remember the trophy thing from a few years back - site participation has never been what it was since then, tons of people left, complained for months, stopped buying passes, the works. None of it did any good except that they eventually updated it to have actual numbers and not percentages. They didn't even keep their promise of the Divines they said they'd offer, nor did they ever do what they said they'd do and rework the display page to show what trophies a player had actually completed, or fix the collections display. None of it.

I'm just saying, I don't think anything will come of this. This is NOT the first time they've broken promises and been dishonest and ghosted the playerbase. It's par for the course at this point. They really do not care at all, and they haven't for years. I do think they'll give us the avatar banner eventually, but they'll take their sweet time with it and won't say a thing else.

The trophy debacle was what I also what this whole thing made me think of. That was the reason I stopped buying passes with real money. To me, it's the total lack of communication that's most frustrating in both cases default smiley (n)

Honestly surprised this thread hasn't been locked, but I hold out hope we get something more for the big 2-0.

The trophy "update" was abhorrent - I'd take them reversing that awful change as belated 20th birthday present at this point haha

personally I think they are trying to avoid us til they can get something together. if they close this topic it will admit there's nothing more. now they are claiming through other social media that it's a "year long" celebration. I'm satisfied that Contact Us can't help us. l'm going to remind them weekly to make sure the Game Team doesn't forget. Contact Us is support team. I wish there was a way to reach out to the game team

with my ticket. I really appreciate finally getting a human response not an auto response. I didn't know the people answering the tickets couldn't help us with our issues all they can do is pass it on to others. my plan is to reopen the ticket and thank them for the HUMAN response. and every Monday reopen it and send a reminder until there is more and make sure they know we haven't forgotten. Contact Us can't seem to help on this but I think a gentle polite reminder wouldn't hurt so they can remind the people who are supposed to do something to do something.

Probably not wise though. I don't think you should be sending a message every Monday, to be honest. They have already told you they can't do anything about it, and it won't do absolutely anything for the case

I have to admit the birthday message for players is hilarious, especially with the 20th anniversary situation right now. Other games I play give a gift for the player's birthday, but Howrse is just

'Hello,

The whole Howrse team wishes you happy birthday!

All the best, and thanks for your loyalty.'

Yes 10 years of playing loyally and not even a small BMI or something

Then again if something can't happen for the game's OWN 20th birthday...??? Why would players get something for theirs. default smiley (d)

This is clearly completely dropped by Howrse by now and everyone investing energy into this would probably be better off putting that effort to some real-life cause they feel passionately about or similar. Howrse has a years-long pattern of doing this and absolutely nothing is going to change by sending tickets and emailing them. They just plain old don't care.

On Howrse’s Instagram they’ve recently posted a story with “more birthday surprises are coming in game in a few weeks”.

Enlighten us admins. Why a few weeks? Why not right now? Is this another ploy to keep dragging us along in hopes we forget about it? default smiley (o)

I wish they would share information and announcements in-game, not just on some other social media site or app.

I definitely can say that I am disappointed. I'm on another horse game, Horse Reality. They are just celebrating their 7th birthday. And despite being a much younger game than Howrse, with less stuff right now, they always seem to follow through. At least I know where to go if this game tanks.

that would have been Viginti that you could win if you finished the cards promo. some got it for free most if they even got it spent a LOT to get it. I spent over 2600 passes to get it

They never actually said there would be a free Divine I don't think, that was just considered a strong possibility because of Quindecim. And technically Viginti was free (with quite a bit of luck)

they posted on Facebook about the maintenance. and I commented asking about the 20th anniversary. here is copy/paste of their response.
HellOw,
The 20th anniversary celebration isn’t over, it’s spread across several events and updates over the next few months.
