Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

I'd love a foal from her! Depending on how much it would cost though.

What do you guys think of this boy?

I did a test foal
I'm going to use a higher GP mare if I do do the real thing but do you guys think this is a good pair for the endurance comp. or is there a better one I should try out?

Personally I don't like how dressage is higher than trot or speed but it makes sense. I don't have a variety of horses so I wanted to experiment with a breed I already own so I don't have to go around buying and experimenting. Sh.. I'm lazy and a cheapskate.

That looks good! Would you mind if I copied you?default smiley xd I haven't been able to figure out any crosses, then again I have a lot in my head

No, go ahead! The endurance one took me a while, there were soooo many possibilities for it, it was driving me insane! default smiley (lol)

I've never done one before but it looks great!
I just bread my first custom cross today(not counting the few I got from pregnet mares in sales). She is a beautiful little Arabian/Thoroughbred dun filly. I am pretty happy with her IBS too, considering I did not use tears.I was looking to put some speed into the Arabians I breed, and I kinda forgot that the foal takes on the Sire's breed in a 50/50 scenario. Oh well, live and learn. I love her anyway. ^^

If anyone would like to see her, her name is Golden Girl, and she is the last one in my "The Other Horses" tab. I would love to hear any opinions or tips, since I am rather new to the cross breeding world.

That explains why non-uni Morgans are set up for XC while Uni Morgans are set up for SJ....Or vice versa

I'm not sure what you mean? They are both dressage / jump / speed default smiley (8)
You guys I've figured out that Paso/walkers are the best combination for the endurance comps. They are skilled in all the right skills for it

Yep here's my main guy for the endurance. Just have to finish up his dressage training and we're good to go!
