Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

I tried inbreeding a mother to her son i personly think the foal is awful but he's ok. Yeah i'm interested you're the best trake breeder on howrse. Seriously you're trakes are awsome. Now if i start breeding pure arabs i'll have bred every breed that the breeding groups that i was in bred.

@ Twi It is so annoying! I wish I could find some way to just make people gravitate towards my horse.
Maybe a pure trake? That would help get more trake in the foal. If she didn't have tb in her i could have offered my stud but he's like 25 percent tb.

sea; No, pure Trakes are way too low. I tried. =| the pure Trake team is in the upper 40*s. It would kill her GP. But I think I have a plan B)
sroseys; we shall work on this mastermind plot!!!

Sold one foal, the test foal for the Queen's sire. Meanwhile Queenie is having modest success in the upper level comps. But I think I'll avoid rounding out her skills for a while. Does anyone want a foal out of her?
sea; Oh, War doesn't have an TB in her. She is 33% Trake.

I'm trying to breed a horse that's good in jumping, gallop, and trot, but bad in stamina, speed, and dressage so I can make a cross country, barrel, and dressage comp monster. Any ideas on good crosses for that purpose?

I have a breeding called "All Around Horses, and we try to get horses rounded, but my crew aren't really interested, so now I do a do it myself scheme. I just see what the lowest gp level area, and breed it to the top gp stallion of that breed where it's the highest.

Artemis, He has the skill profile of an Arab/Fry cross. He might do well in XC comps.
By Retired breeder, 12th January 2012 04:26:31
@Twi yes and I say we make a coat that really hypnotizes people into buying that horse for exactly what it is up for.

Can someone enter my SJ comp for my ec? I am trying to get that prestige up to hopefully help with my ec.

Artemis-you might be able to get into the Holsteiner rankings, on the elite board for skills with that filly, if you get her trained up, she can beat out the current top Holsteiner on the Elite Board for the breed.

Finally working on a new project that I'll put here once I'm finished training him.

I can't see how one can raise a breed's GP *quickly* without inbreeding. Inbreeding is the fastest way to push a breed's GP up; that Trake group is VERY ambitious if they want to breed the best Trakes without inbreeding them. I mean, if you want to raise the Trake's overall GP using the NIB technigue and you want it done quickly to get better crossbreds then your patience is godly and best wishes in your endeavors.

Anybody got a fry/tb mare with high GP? I'm thinking if I cross Warrior (paint/GV) with a mare like this that it will make for an amazing barrel horse, Maybe - maybe Emergency instead of Warrior

Well I just found out that I will be able to easily get the top Marwari horse on the game! When I bred the horse I thought that it wouldn't do anything. But it turns out he he actually going to be very useful! Can't wait to get my first #1 horse!

Here's a test Mar foal from my 83* TB/Paint/Appy mare. Gonna go cross her with a Paint and then use Tears on one of three TB foals I'm breeding from her. Fun times.
By Retired breeder, 12th January 2012 05:53:03
Wow nice Fifth! I am loving! I might have to do a paint appy cross and then breed to one of my marwari stallions.

Speed and more speed figured I can't do anything else with Rollin' With Class till tomorrow when I should be able to get an MA on him to finish his training and let him overtake his sire on the boards...well...that might actually be a bit longer, but he'll at least get on the boards!

I love the second one! I love that GA and the background!
By Retired breeder, 12th January 2012 06:05:08
I've been dying to put that GA on a horse, so when I saw that he was a chestnut I was bouncing off the walls in delight, his sire was really a fluke when it came to breeding him default smiley xd glad it was a fluke though default smiley :)
