Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

With the IBS on all skills she started out with and the gain from competitions, I think I'm good on the other skills. >> She's not doing *bad*, its just she keeps placing 2nd. >_<

haha seconditis. Nice way to phrase it.
I may be behind in the times, but I just produced a pair of foals that, when BLUPped and bred together, should produce six-skilled Friesians with a GP of 760 and 19 stars. I am a wee bit excited here.

*does a shuffling little happy dance*

Eve's Blue Apple

Adam's Blue Fig

They are only .3 away from a star in jumping, so once they get the .2 from Games and produce a wee one who also gets a .2 from *its* Games, I'll be sitting on a nice kid.

I am so excited I picked up my first 20* Dun Mustang stallion and an 18* Purebred Spanish horse for my first Kiger Cross. Would anyone be interested in a foal? Mustang will be the dominant breed
By Retired breeder, 6th May 2010 17:41:03
Very nice Cryfenril, they will also be nice little ec boosters. *gotta love that dressage skill*

My monster mare is now on a whopping 455 wins aged only 13yrs 6 months old default smiley :d I'm very proud default smiley (lol)

This mare produces foals that have a minimum of two stars in every skill.... if you're interested in a foal off her just drop me a line, the foal would be friesian dominant.

By Retired breeder, 6th May 2010 18:09:55
you'll need to actually train him though default smiley :p I'm not sure....mine'll be speedier than the colt default smiley (lol) he could beat her at SJ though if trained up well default smiley :)
By Retired breeder, 6th May 2010 18:23:51

By Retired breeder, 6th May 2010 18:24:31

By Retired breeder, 6th May 2010 18:40:45
If I were you I'd do the following:

*short trot rides til no more gain, speed & dressage training then bombard the comps

I'd also put him in a 23e EC and do 2 lessons per aging with him.
By Retired breeder, 6th May 2010 18:45:06
alright, i will try that default smiley ;) . Now how do i get the dumb tack on him !? I haven't used tack in SOOOO long!
