Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Of course, the 1335 GP foundation I recieved was a bit shocking as well.

Looking forward to doing some crosses on here, I'll have to try my most successful one from over there just for kicks!

merciful heavens that's a nice colt! default smiley <:o)

I like that skill set

I had a bit too much spare time on my hands yesterday [so I looped my favourite song for six hours] so I BLUPed a horse that I never got round to before.

#5 in KWPN stamina.. I'm pretty happy with this one. If anyone gets the reference in the name... you should PM me. We'd be friends. =]
@yraeta - Only problem with that would be Arabs are X-Country horses anyway, unless, of course, Arab wasn't the dominant breed.

Anyone recommend anything for a dressage winner?

Would be quite difficult for rosettes as Lusis dominate them, but you for normal competition wins you could try Knab x Paso or Knab x Appy. I can't say which would be better, never tried!

bringing down again ....*sighs*
dose anyone have a high gp speed cross mare i could barrow?

In my experience, Lusi x KWPN dominant in cutting comps, when stamina is beached down. I have trained two so far. One did very well in Trot Racing (name Royal Jade 414) and the other in Cutting (name Rebecca). Could be a fluke but if they don't work out as dressage horses, you could go for a cutter or trot racer default smiley :d

Anybody got any nice cross ideas for a horse that will be a champ at cutting competitions? default smiley (y)default smiley (l)
I've been breeding Vanner fjord crosses with fjord being the dominant breed.
Competition specialities have varied but I've only been trying English.
What western comps would you guys think this particular mix would excell in?

Oh wow, it's been a long while since I had any horses that were remotely ready to be BLUPed fully. Now I have three of them.
