Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

The result! I quite like her default smiley :)
Been asking a lot about this guy, but what mix should I add in next? I'm trying for a good Gallop horse.

Ignorance- She's a great little filly!
Notbob- Maybe Aussie/GV or some more speed-dressage? I've had alot of luck with my Aussie/GV cross in Gallop
Jello- Thanks, I'll try that out next!

I bred my Aussie/GV stally to my Fry/Lusi mare (all breeds are 50%) and got a GV, why? Shouldn't it have been Aussie?
From what my friend told me, the foal is the father's mother's breed.

Well, that is too bad! (couldn't have used slightly stronger wording)
Mixed up little filly. If she had been Aussie she would have had an awesome Trot ranking.
Aw, that's too bad, at least the foal is still awesome!

I have not been here in a while but I am working on a cross from my daughter (Otaku!). I think he will be a nice dressage horse.

Notbob- There are those once in a little while times where the 4 way foals will come out the wrong breed. Trust me. I breed one I I was supposed to get a Hanover but got a TB. And no matter how many times you breed that pair, it will always be the same.
Jello- Thanks so much!
Gould- Nice horse!! You could try to add a bit more gallop to it, if you wanted to. Nice coat too!
Shi- Lol, that's weird.

A Quarter horse/ Thoro mix if you have time? I have one, but her stars are only in the 70s.

How can I use this guy as a stallion and still get an Aussie foal?
Jello; I had that problem with my Trake, Ghost Hunter. Unless the horse you breed to has Aussie (and no GV), it'll always turn out GV. It's really troublesome.

Breed with a mare that is an aussie as a breed (if it is crossed, it doesnt matter, I think). Then any babies from the resulting foal will be an aussie, as long as the percentage isnt higher than the aussie.
