Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

I think after Dancing is done, I'll try out a Fjord cross. See how that goes...
was looking at daddy and babies, they didn't gain ANYTHING in trot, which would have been the closest star to get. Hoping the next generation does a little better with that

Oh! Fjord crosses are fun! Fjord/Paint crosses or Fjord/Fri. (or even Lusti) crosses are good little compers, especially Fjord/Paints default smiley ^)

Hahaha, if GVs are hard to BLUP, I'm not sure if I want to breed one to my mare! default smiley xd Maybe a GV cross, instead of a purebred, so the baby will be a three-way cross?
GV's are not hard to blup. Most horses if not all horses on the game are easy to blup if you do it right.

Including foundation horses

^^I'm definitely doing a Fjord cross now that I know they're fun to cross! default smiley ^)

^I agree with Xellossnut, I've never had an issue BLUPing any of my Gypsies. Just have to have a solid technique down.

I breed Lusitanos crossed with PSHs and put the affix 'Sky Dynasty' on them. I also breed Arab cross Standard Breds with the affix 'Arabic Pacers'. I am also going to try Thoroughbred/ Paint, Lusitano/ Paint, Thoroughbred/ Standardbred, Arab/ Thoroughbred (Anglos), Arab/ Paint. I LOVE crossbreeds.

I still think GV's are hard to BLUP. But I have never actually tried to BLUP one from the beginning, I have always bought them and was unable to get wins because the other people messed up training

@Horsebabe oh that's why! You need to start from when they are at least 6 months old. Otherwise the games get all messed up from someone else, etc. default smiley :p

Well, I accidently boarded Dancing in a 47e center instead of the 51e she could get in... default smiley (li) This is going to throw a major problem in my routine. default smiley :-x
By Retired breeder, 25th January 2012 13:41:00
I haven't had a GV on the game before, so I'm taking your guys' word for it. >w<
By Retired breeder, 25th January 2012 13:45:52
@Taz don't worry they aren't difficult to BLUP. I work with them all the time and they always get their 20 wins within an hour. default smiley ^) You just have to start with them young.
Anyone know what would be good with a fresian? Was thinking an arabian...
