Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Someone said he should be easy to BLUP, but he only has one win.default smiley :'( Any tips?
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 22:14:34
Jamesgoober, you could try training in speed, then competing in trot.
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 22:15:21
You probably would of had better luck in comps if you trained speed instead of jump.
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 22:31:09
yup!! Thanks!! She'll most likely be elite for Paso. I need another in the rankings. All mine are not there anymore.XD
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 22:40:18
I was showing him in cross country. for cross country you need dressage and jump so stamina is low and you can win easier.
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 22:44:50
I always do speed and dressage first otherwise I struggle getting the wins. I can get them BLUPed by ten normally by doing this.
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 22:48:35
only a couple more wins! I can't get them! Aghhh!!lol
default smiley (lol)

I know how you feel sometimes.

haha I mean only a couple more! geez!default smiley xd
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 22:55:29
But speed has nothing to do with cross country.
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 23:05:52
Jamesgoober-It does not really matter what comps you enter them in,for some reason they only seem to win if they are trained in speed and dressage.
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 23:28:24
Yeah, doing the speed&dressage method, with a timer I can get a horse blupd by 10 years old. And horses that I started this method on a while ago are now being blupd around 11-12 years old, and fully bolded a little later.
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2010 23:29:54
it also helps if you use a timer so you can get more time....

I bought a wonderful cross filly the other day and BLUPed her last night. She is IH/TB and has extremely high dressage and gallop. I wanted to breed her to a stallion with high dressage and gallop as well but I couldn't find one higher or even the same as hers. So I bred my IH mare to a TB and this is the colt I got I couldn't be more happy with the results! I am going to try and BLUP him by tomorrow night. This is the mare I plan to breed with him: LillyOfTheValley I am hoping the dressage and gallop will raise a bit and eventually I will get 26* crosses!

kitsune-your problem with links is you copy the url when you are taking care of the horse,so for it to work it would have to take us on your file, you have to go to your page, look thruogh your horses and then copy the url from theredefault smiley ;)
