Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

If only my double-all stars sold for that. I am trying to sell three, a colt, a filly and their mom. I am crossing my fingers that I get them sold soon or at least get some nice offers. I am going to BLUP my 24* cross filly soon. I hope it turns out well.

And Cryfenril, those foals are very nice! I love how they still have the super dressage and are starred in all six skilled.

Wow,they are amazing Cryfenril!default smiley :o

default smiley (lol)*skills* not skilled.
The trick was to find good high-dressage horses that weren't absolutely TANKED in trot - the purebred Hunters have now reached 100 in speed (at last!) so it's just a matter of tailoring the remaining skills. Not exactly easy, per se, but do-able.

I am proud. default smiley ^)

Lord of Nerves, my Elite Marwari cross, is also doing splendidly - not sure if I want to follow that road for much longer, I have *so* many cross projects going on at the moment! But is sure is lovely to see cross horses appearing in the Elite lists with regularity now - maybe the purebred diehards will start taking note!

hiya! ive not played for a while as i could never find a breeding partner for breeding crossbreeds. please take a look at the horses i have bred they have been amaxing and most are in top 100.
if there is anyone interested in joining me please message me and i mite come back and carry on with it. it took too long on my own x
Really nice foals Cryfenril!! I may have to get myself one if you have any for sale next time I can get passes.

Right now I'm working on an Arab cross like I did with the Welsh, that has trot as one of top two skills for lesson gain. I use a mix of Standardbred and Hackney for the trot part.

I am still BLUPing my 24* cross. She has 169 in two categories so I hope she will produce 26* foals. She is almost 5 1/2 and has 11 wins and 230 dressage so far. She should reach 275 dressage give or take a few points.

I only have one horse that I cross-breed with, she was born a boy and turned into a girl, she may soon go back to male, however, if she becomes Croesus
By Retired breeder, 6th June 2010 16:22:15
pm me for details on covering Junior Croesus
I used to do crossbreeding on my old account, FreedomCC (most of ya know me.). I'm gonna do Quarter Horse crosses with Cremella, my mare.

What's a good breed to bring up Jumping/trot?
