It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

Curious about NIB horses? Want to know what a NIB horse is? You've come to the right place!

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

It's a free cross platform voice and chat client. Similar to Skype.
So you can use it on both PC, Mac, tablets and phones.

Didn't we used to have a chatroom? I cannot for the life of me remember what we used. Was a chatroom - all we had to do was log on. Wasn't necessary to install anything. We just had to log on to the room using a browser.

Going to drive me crazy that I cannot remember.
What was it called chatcy, cha..something

I'm fine with discord though default smiley :)

I remember that chat, but I can't remember what it was called either. Most of my team used Yahoo. But now Apple doesn't support that IM platform. But I remember what you are talking about!

Discord can be used in browsers as well. It just has an app to go with it. Ive never used chatzy O-O

Im wondering what the best way to go about verifying a horse is non-inbred would be. It seems like it would take a pretty long time to go back and page though the link for each horse that's in the pedigree for some of them. Should I just assume that it's inbred if it has a ton of ancestors?

Bwo: it is best to breed yourself, not only because of the hassle it takes to go all the way back, but also because you can own all the horses you use and ensure they never disappear from the ancestry.

Disappeared lines is an NIBers nightmare. You just have to go back through the ancestors. And no, you don't have to assume that. It took me 8 Generations to get my 2* from years ago. But you could probably make an educated guess based on GP, Skills, and stars. Most NIB horses will not be that far along. They might if their parents are the latest Foundation horses but if they are Foundations from years ago, it's a safe bet.

@Bwoller.agree with the novice.
All higher end horses are inbred.
Even now when the foundation horses are over 3000, most of the horses here are inbred.

Only way to know for sure is to track all the ancestors. If your lucky enough (as in no horses have been used for passhorses, or the owner has left the game etc), you will be able to trace back quite a bit.
With the higher ends you can maybe trace back quite a bit, and sooner or later you will see it's inbred..

Oh on a happy note bred a 4th gen Drum. Now I just need to breed a mate. Might take me a while. Who am I kidding of course it will default smiley (lol)

I use a google drawing to keep track kinda, have it all nice and laid out with links to the horses. I also use google sheets to note of the stuff my horses have/need, 'cause I give them all bonuses and that, y'know, keep track of which need comps or rides done kind of a thing.

I use LibreOffice Calc. It's like Microsofts version of Excel - just free.

1st gens are listed in one tab, the seconds in a new tab etc.

Here is an example of part of the foundies I have alredy used to breed 1st gens.
When their marked in green their blupped and bred. To get 2nd gens.
And thus they get registered in tab #2



I always list them with their unique ID so I can find them if need be.

Here some 2nd gens



Once the horses have been bred, I put a checkmark next to their name, plus add a generation number. Move them to a seperate farm.
Here's an example of a first gen blupped and bred.
The number 1 = it's a 1st gen. The number 2 = she has 2 covers left. The check-mark = she has been bred.

I could have used googles version since I already have the file saved in google drive. But I'm too lazy to copy everything over default smiley (lol)
