It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

Curious about NIB horses? Want to know what a NIB horse is? You've come to the right place!

What is this topic for? NIB enthusiasts to find each other and help one another progress in their respective games.
Otherwise, you may use this topic to help others learn about NIBs, share your experience, and find friends that breed NIBs default smiley :)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

I just wanted to share my excitement about my latest NIB Connie foal. I know some of you NIB breeders who do horse breeds have already broken 357 for a 1G foal, but as far as i am aware none of the pony breeds have managed it so far. I have just broken 357 by a fair bit with my latest 1G foal being 357.13 default smiley :-))

I am thinking of starting a few threads in my forum just for NIB breeders. This will be a place where you can find breeding partners and see who is who in the NIB game. My hope is to expand this out so we can help one another out with breed tracking, etc. If you are interested in having your name here, please let me know.

Starting Right
By Retired breeder, 30th December 2009 05:32:56
I would love to join the list. I'm currently working on NIB hanos. I also have 2 foundie quarter horses, but they need training/blupping before I breed them.

I'm still looking for a foundie hano filly, preferably untouched. It seems Rivenwood and I are in a bid war for a filly, and her auction still has 2 days left LOL
I have placed a 100 BLUP foundation mare (arabian) in PS for 40k if anyone is interested. She has tons of BMs and 417% skills default smiley (y). Her last foal has 355.98 GP (possible after games, not at birth default smiley ;)). I am very willing to negotiate as I already have more than one copy of that GA and have a foal from her

Starting Right I have never been to the site but I am only a NIBer when it comes to arabians. I have sold all of my connies default smiley (y). I don't know if that helps your list at alldefault smiley *-)

matersalad here is my foundie hano mare that I own. I got it as a gift from one of the GA collectors for Christmas. I am willing to let her go to a NIBer though default smiley :). She has nice skills for her age even which is hard to come by anymore

Forest Queen: Wow, that horse is incredible! Fantastic job training him! I'm planning on doing that with one Morgan, as soon as I can collect enough POCs, or a Nyx pack would do nicely, as I already have everything else that I need.

Starting Right: I'd also like to join the list! I think I tried to register for it a few weeks ago but they had no selection for Morgans, as they hadn't added in the world tour breeds. I can't remember if I actually went ahead and registered or not, though.

Got another foundie nearly BLUPped, has nine wins so far and I need a box for another one so I can train her, she already has her wins so I just need a decent EC to finish her training/bold her. Having a lot of trouble finding one though.

Also considering taking up NIB Irish Hunters but I don't know if I'll have the time for both breeds default smiley (lol)

Thank you very much riverdoe. I calculate that it should be easy enough to break 500 skills if a horse is in an EC with .1% gain but it is a matter of convincing a top EC to let you board default smiley xd. Luckily for me a friend of mine offered her .099% EC so that was grand!. I will be doing the same kind of training as I did with Tikki Tech on his breeding mate I purchased and then any others I will do full bolding and skilling until 25 (puts most at around 440% skills).

If you are interested I have a foundation IH in my other horses tab with a .9something GP I believe default smiley :)

All Chromed Out will be ready to give covers very soon. He is a Foundation Paint Horse. He is almost 100% BLUP and will have all 6 skills bolded; if not tonight, tomorrow sometime, for sure.

Be sure to stop by and see him - he loves company!
Is anyone NIB-ing Hanoverians over on Caballow? I would ask there but I'm not confident in writing in Spanish XD

Remember to watch the ads guys. This place is for discussing NIB horses and you're welcome to post that you're looking for something particular so others can PM you, but please don't post ads. We don't want this topic cluttered with so many ads that the content is lost default smiley :)
I BLUPing an Arabian if anyone has comps they want her to run in. Please PM me. She can enter races with 7%-9% in the open races and 5%-9% in the breed specific races for trotting. 23-24% in the open races and 20-24% in the breed specific races for galloping.

I have a foundation foal that came to me at one year and no games. She is rare so I'd like to see if I can get her to 351.2. How many times can you use the black orchid?
As many times as you want. I think I use 3 on a foal once to see if I could get over 351.2.

Mmh, sometimes I wish I would not have any ideas on my head. I just realised that my high GP barb mare (354.73) has mother with even higher (356.11). That's not the sad thing...it's the fact that the mother has GA coat and is owned by coat collector who will not sell. Well, I didn't even ask but with that coat I'm pretty sure that she is not for sale at eny price default smiley :(

By the way, can I entry that mare on the highest GP list even shes not mine?
By Retired breeder, 30th December 2009 16:07:13
does anyone have a fully BLUP canadian stallion thats a first generation NIB that i can cover my mare with?
By Retired breeder, 30th December 2009 16:16:12
I have a foundation Mustang
and if anyone wants to start mustangs Pm me
Blinkyli you could probably PM the coat collector to ask if they are willing to breed the mare to a NIB stallion (if you have the stallion send a covering). I am one and know several that are more than willing to do that for players. default smiley (y)

But no you cannot enter someone elses howrse into the highest GP unless they are interested in becoming a NIBer...that would be against their wishes if you did so..and trust me there is probably lots of howrses out there somewhere that have really high GPs..
anyone have some foundation arabians lying around they don't need/want? default smiley ;)
