[Info] The Retired Coat Gallery

This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

*#*#*#* If players feel the need break the main topic rules, such as sales ads/coat countdowns/spares-you can expect an instant forum ban without any warning prior to it *#*#*#*

And, does anyone have a list of true retired coats that they can PM to me? Thanks
Angie
Why is the CraXoR Exception named the CraXoR Exception, lol?

Because she is the only known coat maker who was nice enough to take out of retirement her coat. It is an exception to retirement of coats that owners who retired coats may unretire the coat otherwise a coat cannot come back without the magic of Logow.

I have not updated today the list. I have in my forum a list of all coats under 525 that we are looking for or have.

http://www.howrse.com/marche/noir/object?qName=pomme-or&defaut=100
http://www.howrse.com/marche/noir/object?qName=pomme-or&defaut=101

That is how I found out if coats existed. I changed the number to one higher until I found a coat. I added that to my list of coats I have and am looking for. I then went and checked to see if that coat was still for sale

http://www.howrse.com/marche/noir/object?qName=pomme-or&defaut=100
I used that link but changed the number to the coat I was looking for. If you cannot buy it then you know it is retired but you still have to check to see if you can buy it.

I do not look at sales over 30,000 or 3 passes as it is not worth that kind of money to me.

Oh.
Thanks, mechurchlady
Someone outbid me on a howrse for sale in auctions after raising the price to about 12000. That person then resold the howrse for 18000.

CUTTHROAT is the name of the retired coats business. I have had to pay 100000 and 10 pasxes by unscrupulous people and I am saying that it is about time the sellers start playing fair. I have lost 15000 on the sales of one howrse to a friend. Painty has sold howrses for less than she could get in sales.

We need to work together to be friends and help each other instead of playing nasty and cut throat games. I have very little money but I spedn it helping my friend. Look at my account and you do not see much there because I have given so much away to friends.

Howrse is about fair sportsmanship.
I am right onw having a quitting moment if nto for the people that count on my EC.default smiley :'(

I love that coat and got it for painty. You can still buy it but it has an inactive maker and is might pretty. Only paid 502 and a pass so I spent $2 to save the work of buying a howrse, finding the coat then reselling the howrse, lol. I am the epitome of lazyiness.

Not retired sorry! Keep checking my Glitch Coat forum in my EC!
By Retired breeder, 6th July 2009 17:47:27
i only have 1 coat. is it retired???
By Retired breeder, 6th July 2009 22:39:35
How do you know its a glitch?
By Retired breeder, 6th July 2009 23:45:39
psdraftlady, you can still get it in the black market. go to the golden apple. Then click "Chronology" go to the last pages. it will be there
Glitched Retired is a coat that you are told you cannot buy when you click on the howrse's picture. Go to chronology and on the last pages it will still be there. It seems ot only affect low numbered coats.

True Retired is a coat that you cannot buy with a Golden Apple ever again. There is one exception to the True Retired Coat. The CraXoR Exception is that a coat maker may take a coat out of retirement and retire the coat as they feel like doing so. This exception is only for coats retired by the maker. Any coat made by a player on a deleted account and any coat yanked by Owlient (fo whatever reason) cannot come back.

RARE COAT
If a coat can be bought then in theory 10000 copies can be made. RARE is a coat that few survive. The Strange Coat is not so rare as many people loved that and made that coat. RARE means few available, few made, and you will have a hard time finding that coat.

RECYCLED HOWRSES
There is this one howrse that has been resold about 5 times. Another one has a cute affix and is on its third trip to sales.

This is like any other collecting hobby in that you have to love what you have even if it is not rare or retired. I paid $25,000 today for a rare coat because the person wanted two howrses of which one was not for sale ever. I even offered to pay passes and put coats on howrses. Normally I will not pay more than 7000 or two passes for a howrse. Do not waste all your money on one coat when you can get two.

ASK FOR ADVICE
I and some others here know the history of coats. I know about some of the back story on stolen coats, the 3 art thieves and maybe a fourth, and which players are probably not coming back to howrse. There is a method to my madness and why I buy some coats that are not retired.default smiley :(
