[Info] The Retired Coat Gallery

This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

*#*#*#* If players feel the need break the main topic rules, such as sales ads/coat countdowns/spares-you can expect an instant forum ban without any warning prior to it *#*#*#*

i feel old because i can remember when some of these coats weren't retired default smiley (lol)
She said earlier but I know 102 is a CraXoR coat, they are yellow golden.

Today is my 750th day in howrse and I have in the game over two years. I missed two days for vacation or illness that I know of. I feel so old looking at coats and remembering my friends worrying about if the coat would make it.

TIPS

First go to auctions and search for GA coats all the way through. Bd or try contacting the person and make them an offer.
Check daily for new auctions coming up

There are about 120 pages of GA coats. I read them all. There are some coats I could not buy as 200,000 is ludicrous. I keep a page open and regularly chekc for new sales.

Network with other players.

Post on your profile a list of coat numbers or in your forum the coat numbers you are selling and buying and trading. Howrse uses the coat number for all images.

There are two coats taken from the same artist's painiting but one has the base and one does not. One art thief got banned while another still has stolen coats out there. It is sad that someone got rich off of stolen art while others worked really hard to make home made coats. A lot of the coats look alike so be careful and check out anything even if it looks familiar. RETIRED COAT, sometimes that sales pitch is a lie, sometimes you can buy the coat but it is a glitched coat, and sometimes talk to me and the other coat buyers, resellers and collectors as we may have that coat for way cheaper. do not be afraid to shop around for the more common coats.

What are the coat numbers??? For what are they???
By Retired breeder, 30th June 2009 13:00:12

Does anyone know where I can find this coat? Or who the maker/number is? I really want itdefault smiley xd
http://static.howrse.com.s3.amazonaws.com/production/goldenApple/1183-normal1.jpg

1183 is the coat number on that URL. Howrse assigns each coat a number from 100 and up.

http://www.howrse.com/media/data/chevaux/u/1/u1226--miniature.jpg?kajbJKpLjau=Ibhabb
This is a smaller version of coat 1226

Each coat is unique even if it is copies of the same painting or resubmitted as pony and howrse coats. Some people might even add wings or a horn to make a new coat.

Silverhuntress that coat is probably from a model and thus yanked. Some of the model lovers could probably tell you more. It is unusual in that two legs are white with light colored hooves while two hooves are black with off colored legs. There is dappling in the body and a white streak in the tail which is usually from a cut and paste. Models are very nice but not as coats. I wish you luck in finding out more about the coat.

I remember a lot of these coats! Some were on my horses too when I was about 50 days into the game. I remember the painted pony. I was about to get it default smiley :(. The grey pegasus was actually on one of mine. Wow, some of these I don't even remember probably because they were so old!
I fianlly am done with Painty's howrses up to 335. Break time and we are only short two coats. Not bad but I got to get out there and buy more coats.

How is everyone doing with coat hunting?

Is someone willing to pay a lot of money for a very old retired coat? It's in My Horses tab in my breeding farms. Its a goldenish horse, professional looking hano thing running looking backwards at us and his legs are in the air. I'm pretty sure when it wasnt retired it was called Buzzz. Its a very old and rare coat. PM me if interested.

That is a true retired coat # 504 and cannot be bought. I know that either Gizmo or Dotty or someone else was looking for that coat. Not sure what they would offer but it is rarer. Some coats are very common like the friesian bowing that was taken from a photograph.

I'm still desperately searching for the moonlight coat that was probably a model horse.
Clicky clickydefault smiley xd

I've checked with Dotty and Greystone Stud, but neither of them have ever seen it before.

I can't tell you about that coat, SilverHuntress, but I can tell you what it was referenced off of default smiley :) The pose is Breyer's "Big Ben" model, with the face, mane, and tail redrawn.
By Retired breeder, 1st July 2009 14:12:37
Yeah. The tail was done badly, you can see the white.default smiley (lol)
