The new way of letting us know we completed an objective, is unnecessarily long. Just a red marker at the Achievements would be enough.

I had this same problem except I lost 11 pages of PM’s so about 110 Pm threads. I will admit that the last 3 ish pages where old but the other 80 messages just disappeared. I am very upset about it as I had a lot of stuff saved in my messages as well as had a lot of conversations with friends.

Also when I logged on it said I had 3 unread messages when I clicked on the messages button the unreads went away leaving me wondering what my friends were trying to tell me but I will never know and I can’t message anyone back as I am unaware of who sent them considering they where deleted before I can see.

Also I am sorry if I seem a little upset in this post but I did loose 110 messages. I am a very chatty player with a very active Howrse life and now it’s all gone. I understand I can just start a new PM thread but I had some stuff that I was trying to save in there. For example I decided to create a really unique coat design and then this creation space saw a vary similar design so I wanted to use the messages as proof that I didn’t copy considering I had told my friends about it a while ago before the other one was realesed. Now I can’t.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I lost 2 conversation threads through PM too, was very confused and slightly annoying because I hadn't yet read the messages.. hopefully it's fixed and the conversations are restored. Thought I was the only one!

I also lost like 3 pms, but gladly I read them before all of this happened oof
Okay, but when will we be able to right-click and new tab horse purchase notifications? Its annoying having to constantly go back to the page and click each individual one over and over to find the horses I've purchased.

I just checked and I've also lost 15 different messages. Seems like its a site-wide bug and not just a select few.

In case this is scaring anyone I can confirm (having personally checked it on my US account) that if you press that button a large pop-up appears with Emma telling you

" Restart your game
If you reset your game, you will lose your horses, your seniority, your Pegasus or VIP subscription, and your reserve will return to its initial value."

You have to enter your password to confirm. It would be difficult to miss and as we have all at some time learned to our cost, ignoring small pop-ups is silly, this one is huge.

Oh, good, thank you for confirming this...I was too scared to click the button to see if anything like that actually popped up. It just looks very casual without the huge warning text already beside it on the account page. I nearly clicked it myself, thinking that it was to save/confirm my changes, when I was messing with my simplified training settings, before I realized what it actually was. default smiley (y)

Seriously? All PMs are gone. I had stuff saved in there that I sent to myself solely because I ran out of room in my notebook. All the conversations with friends, sales deals, *gone*. Did anyone ever get their messages back?

It really makes little sense that the options you enable/disable in gameplay preferences do not match the exact categories as listed in the notification center drop down.

Please don't call it "Financial Transactions" in my preferences and "Trade" in my notification center; "Events" in preferences and "other in the notification center. I'm trying to figure out what is what and this should be perfectly clear information.

As my suggestion for changing the item exchange notification was unheard, I'll say again. Please include what we are receiving in the front rather than starting with "Your item exchange has been accepted." When the notification is unread, you cannot see what you were credited with. Now that you removed our ability to see unread notifications (which, unbolded, you'd see the beginning of your item) we have to do extra steps to figure out what we got - and that defeats the purpose of the notification.

Also, I hope you will be looking into more categories for what we want to see or not. I want to see that I got passes from my divines. I don't want to see that my horses have died because I keep my other farm clear - I know where all my dead horses are and I don't need that info. But you stuck everything under breeding farm.

Also, can we get the option to see our unread notifications or not? I think I preferred having the unread ones there, especially for the item exchanges. In which case if the wording will not be changed, I definitely want seeing my unread notifications back.

I'm really glad that they got rid of the "your daily objectives are waiting for you" notification and tweaked some of the other notifications. It definitely makes things easier, and I don't know about anybody else, but I certainly don't need a notification every single day telling me something I've known for over a year now.

However, can we please do something about the incessant lag, and all the glitches? In lieu of the constant updates/new features/tweaks to the new features? They're all completely pointless when the game is entirely unplayable for large chunks of the day, and the glitches are becoming really annoying, too.

My game is snail slow for the majority of the day on any given day. It is most certainly not on my side as my laptop is pretty new and always up to date/well maintained, my WiFi is pretty fast, and this is the only website that I ever have any issues with. Additionally, there's been several topics across the different forums in regards to this with many, many different players confirming that they're having the same exact problem at the same exact time. There's currently a topic in the VIP forum about it with almost 170 comments.

Everything else I'm doing on my laptop will be zippy fast but the game will be unbelievably slow and completely pointless and infuriating to even try to play. Spinning monkeys, pages taking several minutes to load, buttons shaking/disappearing, pages automatically refreshing, the simplest of actions, even replying to private messages/posting in forums/clicking on something, taking ridiculously long. It's a mess. Yesterday I got logged out to a maintenance page several times throughout the day. It was really annoying.

Additionally, there's now a glitch where your messages are being randomly deleted, possibly permanently?

This seems far more pertinent than any notification center update, in my mind, and probably in the minds of anybody else who's lost messages.

I didn't even lose that many as I regularly delete my messages and keep my inbox fairly cleaned up, saving anything sentimental/important elsewhere, but I had quite a few new/un-replied to messages I was waiting to reply to yesterday/today.

I defended Howrse a little bit when it first happened, thinking that maybe somebody made a mistake, and accidentally deleted the wrong file or something, so hey, maybe they're new, maybe it truly was an accident, hopefully they offer some kind of explanation/resolution eventually, this silence is weird, but it's okay. It was probably just an innocent mistake.

Now that it's happening again, it doesn't seem like a simple "oops, my bad, sorry." It's a real issue.

i sent a 'contact us' message to howrse hours ago and it still hasn't moved past the first stage of processing yet.

this bug ruins the experience for many players. i had threads that were hundreds of messages long with friends who i've been talking to for years. really disheartening to see...

Hmm... the objectives are waiting alert must have been changed after the daily update. I still got mine.
Could maybe this thread be used for giving actual feedback about the changes they have made? You can go to game play to check if anyone else is experiencing a bug you have experienced. You can go to contact us to report it.

I'm literally trying to give feedback and read others feedback and it's being entirely drowned out by a bug that, even if these features caused it, is entirely unrelated to the features themselves.

It completely ruins the experience. One major aspect of Howrse is the community and communication between players. Some of us has years and years worth of conversations that just vanished. Others, including myself, had threads of business deals going on and now have no idea who those players were.

I’m so disappointed. If some glitch is going to happen every time we get an update I don’t want it. default smiley (n)

I feel that these issues with the game are relevant to these updates since there's a good chance they go hand in hand...every time there's an update, the game is unbelievably slow for the days leading up to it, and glitches start happening simultaneously/shortly afterwards. I'd much rather see the lag/glitches be officially addressed/resolved by Howrse than slight tweaks to the notification center. Sorry.

Additionally, any topics regarding the lag or the deleted messages do get locked very quickly in the Game Play forum, as they're technically not questions about how to play the game, rather complaints/rants, and my message that I sent to Contact Us nearly half a day ago has yet to be read/responded to. I don't believe any admins/mods/developers frequent the VIP forum, so those topics are mostly for player discussion/enjoyment. Therefore this topic seems like the best option currently to draw attention to these major issues that are detrimental to daily game play and are affecting many, many players in a very negative way.

Now I'm not getting any notices of new events, particularly the ones that let me know someone's outbid me on horses I'm watching, so unless I constantly keep the tab open with "show all notifications" and refresh it, I dont know someone's outbid me so I have missed some horses I was attempting to buy.

Seriously, why can't you just leave a system alone when its working instead of changing pointless things?

I'm also still very annoyed over the fact that we're forced to see tack on horses everywhere despite having the "turn off equipment" thing turned on.

And,by the way, to all those who sent something to contact us, about 2 weeks ago some of my messages were deleted so i sent a ticket, they said they would pass the info to their tech people, and havent replied in 9 days now. This is probably not an easy fix default smiley (lol)

For anybody missing messages: If you're a tester, log on to preprod...the current version of the test server was created a few days ago so you may be missing some more recent messages but the majority of your conversation chains will still be there so you can get people's usernames and screenshot/copy and paste the last message into your notes then send new messages on here to those players.

And in case nobody else has thought of this yet...I wouldn't recommend using your notes on here...if you routinely save any important/large amounts of information in your notes, you should probably save them elsewhere, maybe in an email to yourself or on your actual device, in case they get deleted.

Yeah, that's definitely a big part of my frustration with the issue. Topics in Game Play being locked instantaneously and no reply from Contact Us. I mean, just because it isn't an easy fix doesn't mean those affected aren't entitled to an explanation/apology/promise that they're going to resolve the problem, even if they can't recover the already deleted messages. Ignoring players/shutting down the conversation is not the way to go, that's horrible customer service.

I mean, an obviously copy and pasted template saying something like "Hi there, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We were already aware of this issue as we've received many reports in regards to this these past few days but your report definitely helps. We are currently working on a resolution for this problem. We may not be able to recover your already deleted messages, unfortunately, and we understand that this may be very upsetting and very saddening to hear, but we'll at least be able to guarantee that this won't happen again. Please let us know if you have anything to add. Thank you."

It's so much better than just silence and feeling like they don't care about your problem. It takes a few minutes to type up and can be copied/pasted and sent to everybody. They don't have to go into long details about why this happened/what they're doing to fix it, although that'd be greatly appreciated by anybody who may want that kind of information/needs more than a flowery typical customer service message to calm them down. Just some kind of acknowledgement would be nice. default smiley (l)
