Awww I'm sorry you had to sell your horse!

Hello again guys! I recounted my horses tonight! I am up to 190, with at least one more on the way However, some of those are duplicates, and I think there are two models, maybe three, that I have triplets of. Typically when that happens it means that I had a copy or two, and then someone gave me one as a gift lol. Its also possible that I found it in a flea market or something and it was cheap and in decent condition so I couldn't pass it up! But that's not too common. I typically avoid models that have a lot of wear and tear, unless its like super rare but I haven't come across those.

I also have hundreds of other farm life, sea life, and wildlife models. Not even gonna try to count those for now lol. But there's a lot, and more coming. I have a new oldest model now, it beats my previous oldest by about two years. I am the proud new owner of a male Silverback Gorilla, the belly says '89 is the year. It doesn't have a tag anymore, but it is pretty darn good shape, especially for a 31 year old model!

Wow! That's cool! The oldest horse I have is a 2006 Lippizzanner Stallion and I'm lucky that he's light gray or else all of his old scratches would show LOL

If the listing was right my new oldest, which is being shipped to me, is an 84 model. I think it's a lamb, and is supposed to still have the tag on. And its older than me...amazing!

Wow, an 88 horse would be awesome! I hope the pic works! Though I dont know why it would say Schleich Breyer, unless they collaborated to make some hybrid back then lol!

Interesting! I'm certainly no expert on all things Schleich, and certainly not Breyer, but that horse doesn't resemble either brand to me! I have no idea what the story is lol.



I know they are rar-ER, but I'm not sure by how much. I'm pretty new at Exclusives and only have a few, the T-Rex I mentioned being the newest. I'm interested in learning how rare they are though! Also, does anyone know about the special edition Satchmo horse, I think from 2010ish? I now have one, with the certificate, which is not in English but I think it says they made 5000 of him, and probably most of them were sold in Germany (at least that's my thoughts, since I read somewhere that about or at least half of Schleich's sales are in Germany, where Schleich is headquartered). My Satchmo is one that is signed by Isabelle Wertz, or a name really similar to that (I don't have it in my hands right now). She is the real Satchmo's owner, if I understand correctly. I tried to look it up once but didn't see much info on it.

Cute foal! Not sure I've seen it before! And I actually do have the collie, I think! I got it two years ago, just as my stepdad was killed in a motorcycle accident. this may sound really cheesy, but it was memorable because the dog had little lines running from the eyes, and it looked kinda like tears. I'll probably always associate getting that collie and that event, and I think back on it whenever I see the figurine. I do like the name you gave him!

the statchmo one is a more rare exclusive of schleichs especially the signed ones are extremely rare. i have more of the less rare exclusive horses. almost all of 2018 and all of the 2019 ones as well as a few magazine foals and a few exclusives from the adventcalenders. a lot of schleichs exclusives are germany only but there were some america exclusives released around 2012

I love the retired schleich horses. I also love to name my schleich after horses I have ridden.

I wish Schleich would label the model like CollectA does...even if its just tiny print on the tag or something!
