Finally got a long awaited Breyer recently! I ordered her at the beginning of May, but they were having difficulties with shipping due to the supply chain issues, so i just got her early this month. So glad to have her now!

Click to display
Its Breyer's Hope of the Year, which seems to have taken the place of Horse of the Year...not sure if this is a permanent change or not, but i have most of the Horse of the Year series. I think a series of Hope of the Year horses is a neat idea, as the purchase supports therapy horse programs, and maybe some other good causes in the future.default smiley :)

Also, you can't see it too well in the pic, but her paint is pretty pearly. And she comes in a nice box.

She's literally called Hope of the Year...i think a lot of people call her Hope for short, naturallydefault smiley :)

She is a limited edition available on the Breyer website, but i'm not sure how many they made.

Although, since i'm thinking about it, calling her Hope could get confusing, after last year's Horse of the Year model...he was quite literally named Hope!

glad to have found a model topic!
i customize and repaint schleich horses!
i also have done a few breyer stablemates but i find big horses like the traditional very difficult to repaint...default smiley (8)
are there any more model customizers out there?
Hello! Nice to meet you! I do not do repaints myself, but I do love to see the beautiful creations that others make!default smiley :)

Wow...got a little sticker shock! The Breyer Halloween online shop opened up a day or two ago, and I was gonna get a couple of the little stablemate blind bags. There are three different ones but there is a limit of two per order. I was expecting them to be maybe $5 or $6 like the other stablemate blind bags, but apparently these Halloween ones are a hot item, cause they were listed at like $25 or $26 a piece! So I hit the brakes on buying them, and within hours or less they were out of stock. But, it's still a little ways before Halloween so I'm hoping they will be restocked and I can manage to snag at least one. I just didn't realize they were that expensive and that hot. Never tried for these before.

Happy birthday!

Does anyone have this guy? I've had him for as long as I can remember and he's always been my favourite. He's considerably scratched up now thoughdefault smiley :p. I called him Paint.

A friend told me about this store (that had what she called "my figurines") i had never heard of up in the city, so when we went to the city the next day, we found the store...and it was a STORE! Too much store for me...pretty ritzy and expensive. Two stories, huge fish tank, ferris wheel in the middle, animatronics, etc. Didn't have a lot of time to look around much but i found the Schleich shelf and they had a pretty good collection of the newer models! This late in the year i already had most of the new models, but i did pick up these two that i didn't have because they were lower on my priority list of the new ones.

I got the 2022 Flamingo!

The other Schleich i got is the 2022 Emperor Scorpion.

I also got some Breyers!

I got the new Tractor Supply Exclusive Jolene! She has primitive leg markings and a dorsal stripe!

I also got the Tractor Supply Exclusive Blue...he is the FFA horse. I wanted him because i was in FFA all four years of high school, and part of the purchase goes back to the programdefault smiley :) He has some detailing you can see up close but not in the first picture. The second picture is large, sorry, but you can see a little of the detail. Its supposed to mimic the look of the material the FFA jackets are made out of. (I do still have mine from high school default smiley :-)) )

The other one i got is the 2022 Halloween Horse, Maelstom!

Welp, that's all...for now! I'll be back...Mwah ha ha...default smiley (m)

I ordered a rare oldie Schleich off of Ebay today. Took a little risk as its got a few marks on it, but they didn't seem all that bad in the pics, and it made it much more affordable. So hopefully when it comes, it will be a nice addition to my collection! I'll let you guys know when it comes, but for now, here's a hint...it belongs to my still small but hopefully growing sea life collection!default smiley :d

good luck, I hope it turns outdefault smiley (y)

Welcome! That's cool that you can get those now! I have a few people, but have not been able to afford a barn, nor do i have anywhere to keep one lol.

I did just get these Breyers! Two of them i found "in the wild."default smiley ^)

I got Obsidian...been wanting him for a while!

And i found these two in a flea market! Its a foal called Rough Diamond (from the early 90s)...

And Capella, the Abaco Barb stallion (from 2005, an LE benefitting the real life wild breed)...Capella is a real life stallion (with blue eyes!). My understanding is he is one of the stallions in the only herd left, a herd of just 12 horses! I'm sure hoping that number is out of date, and that the herd has made a come back since then!

Hey guys! Been meaning to post for a few days but kept forgetting or running out of time. I got some Special Edition Schleich in! Well, some of them are special edition and some aren't...

Click to display
I got the Special Edition Midnight Lion!

I also got the Limited Edition Pink Uni!

Next i got the Special Edition 2022 Holiday Reindeer!

I also got the Lava Tiger. Hoping to eventually get the Ice Tiger as well.

Next up is the Star Pegasus Mare...i had the foal, so wanted to get mama!

Last but not least, i got the little thank you gift, which was a mini dino surprise bag! Ended up getting the little ankylosaurus! One i didn't have...yay!

I did also get this Breyer!

Its a Collector's Club Gambler's Choice of the Classic Series. His name is Yohann, he is glossy, and he is an older mold, and as the name suggests you have to be part of the Collector's Club to order him. You get a random one out of the four possible coats, and i will include a picture of them. Its my understanding that the sculpt is that of a Lipizzaner performing the difficult Levade.

Guess who i got?default smiley (7)

I got the Pinto on the far left...yay!default smiley :-))

Lol yes...there was a time i wasn't aware of them either, but now i know there are some every year! And even the normal models can add up quick, so i can understand that. Sad though!

The pinto is the one i was hoping to get, but the appaloosa and the bay one were really close behind it! And then the palomino came in last. I would love to have them all though! But the limit per collector's club account was one. Its my understanding that some collectors purchase multiple club accounts, in order to be able to order more than one of the molds, particularly the gambler's choices, like this one. I guess they don't mind people having these multiple accounts, as long as they pay the fees. I paid to join the collector's club and the stablemates club, just one account, and that was i all i could afford! Speaking of the stablemates club, i got the latest addition in just today! The picture is big, i apologize...didn't see a smaller one!
