Hey alldefault smiley :) On Tuesday i took a little trip to a nearby town and went to a flea market where once before i found a Schleich and a Breyer, literally side by side lol. Well this time, in about the same place in the store, i made another find. There were some real cheapy animal figurines nearby (almost foam like) but there was also this cute little elephant figurine. I didn't pay much attention at first because i knew it wasn't a Schleich. But it peaked my interest so i made sure to check it out before moving on...turns out it was this lovely:

Its actually the Safari LTD 2003 African Elephant! (The pic is off the Internet and not mine)

I don't know too much about Safari LTD, and only have a small handful of their figurines. But this little gem looks practically new...there are no play wear spots or missing paint rubs, even on the tusks! The only things are, of course the missing tag, but that's no surprise since its from 2003, and there is a small amount of some pink coloration on the very outside edge of one ear...which i honestly didn't even notice until later. Other than that, its incredible how nice this piece is for its age! Also, there is a four digit number on the bottom of the back foot...not sure the significance of that, but i just realized that it is my phone number ha ha.default smiley xd Anyway, it was also up for a good price. I got it for $3, and according to a quick Ebay search, that seems to be a pretty darn good price, so i am very happy with my find, even if i don't (officially) collect Safari LTD.default smiley ^)

Famousamos, I love that elephant! I'm not a big fan of Safari LTD because I mostly collect Schleich and I like all my horses and other things to be the same scale and Safari's seems to be a bit smaller? Unless I'm seeing things. default smiley ^) But I have the Tennessee Walking Horse and it is great!

Actually it was quite comparable in size...the Safari LTD elephant i got is only slightly smaller than my largest Schleich elephant! I do not know if that is the case with other Safari critters though as i only have a very few.default smiley 8-)

Here are some recent additions to my collection! Bit of a long post!

Click to display
I got these Schleich:

I got the Stork, which i believe is the last regular wildlife model (not including sets) new for this year that i needed. (Honestly i think the older stork models are far superior to this new one.)

I also got the new Exclusive New Year's Pig.

I got the Llamacorn (What, Llamas are cute lol!) and its a pretty good size! I am also hoping to get the baby Llamacorn due to come out next year.

Lastly, i got one of the Bayala uni series, Candy Cane. I didn't complete the set this year, as they are lower on the priority list, and they appear to be doing a series like this yearly now. What with so many special editions coming out...the two bigger unis, the pig, and that black swan i'm hoping to get ahold of, in addition to the usual exclusive horses, etc...i'm just not bothering with the little unis too much because i'm not made of money, and i don't like them as much. However, if they are still in stock early next year, and are on sale, i may pick them up if its convenient. I do have a few of them.

Surprisingly i didn't get a little thank you piece in my Schleich order like i always do, so i don't know if they just missed getting it in there, or if its cause i used some of my saved up club member points to pay for part of it lol. Oh well.default smiley ^)

Anywho, that's it for the Schleich. Now on to Breyer!

I got in Neva, the limited edition winter decorator.

I got the Misty and Stormy Set, to go with my Phantom and Misty set.

I also got Romeo, the Limited Edition 2022 Flagship Store Special horse.

And last but not least, i got Kendall, the 2022 Brick and Mortar Special!

Welp that's all for now...hope you like them! Ta ta!default smiley ^)

Then i suppose the good news is that the candy cane uni was the cheapest item i got! I think they run just five or six dollars so if you can find one, its a great deal since you love it so much!default smiley (l)

Cool! Is it the newer one or the older version? It should have a year somewhere on the belly or inner leg.

I just started and was wondering how to sell/auction my horses?
If you're talking about the schleich or modle horses, I recommend etsy or ebay, however you might need an account to sell on those sites, otherwise, setting up a yard sale . If you are referring to the horses on this app, there should be a button at the bottom of the horses' profile that's a little basket. If it's clicked, it should allow you to sell/auction

for repainting use acrylic paint and apply it in multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat

on a seperate note i got myself a christmas present.
i saved up a lot this year and as a little gift to myself i got the white friesian stallion exclusive. with tag and certificate. icant get the image url to format correctly so here is a link instead
