Famousamos, I also don’t know how a managed to pull it of! I probably cost around 500 dollars, and since most of the stuff was online shopping, I still have more that’s coming! My favorite horses that I got are the retired Andalusian stallion and the retired mare. I got so much that I had to rearrange my room and I’m getting a bookshelf for all of it! default smiley ;)

And another question - is schleich the same size as collectA?

They are similar, yes, but i think CollectA horses are a little bigger.

Welp, i took a weekend trip and came up pretty empty as far as new Schleich and CollectA, after checking multiple stores, but i did manage to score this handsome fella!

I got ahold of a traditional Breyer, who is the Limited Edition Livingston! Its on the American Saddlebred Mold, and was just released this year. I cannot seem to find just how many have been made, but i chose him over two or three others i really liked as well because he is a limited edition. Interesting fact...Breyer made a typo on his box (on all of them). One part of the box says 2021 Flagship Dealer Special, while another part of the box says 2020 Flagship Dealer Special, with both on the front lol. Anyway, just as i do with them all, i am keeping him in his box, and them both in tip top condition, as best as i can.default smiley *-) :I like to retain their looks and value.

Actually leaving a Breyer in a box can also be bad for the model the colors of the box could transfer to his white
Also I love him may I ask what store he was found at

What do yall use for bedding in the stalls and arenas

Arenas the best thing to use is sand and stalls I use wood shavings from my mom she uses a sander with a bag to catch the dust while she makes furniture so I just use the stuff out of the bag this can also be used for arenas if sand isn’t available

I guess i'm counting on the risk being higher for damage, etc. if i don't leave it in the box. I've heard this possibility being mentioned before, but don't really know anything about it. Plus, i believe it is more valuable in the original packaging, like most things. Fingers crossed nothing like that happens to them in the box!

Hmmm, i'm not too keen on putting a specific location online, since it wasn't a big box chain store. I got it in a rather busy Five and Dime in Midwest America. He was the only one i saw on their shelves though! I'm still a little sore that i couldn't get the two or three other beauties i saw before i saw him, and really wanted lol.default smiley *-)

I can't say i'm familiar with all the Schleich horses ever made, and certainly not Breyer, which i know of very few of, but i would LOVE to get ahold of this Schleich horse!

I dont know a lot about it, but my understanding is it was a special edition White Friesian, and is very hard to find. I'm not sure of the year.default smiley (l)

@Splash16
I would have to pick Breyer but schelich will always hold a special place in my heart as my first model horses but now I’ve graduated to Breyer models as I like the size, realism, and they are easier to make tack for. To me schelich’s horses have gone down in quality and the horses just aren’t as real looking anymore
@FamousAmos
I love that Friesan! He is gorgeous never knew that one was made!

I would have to pick schleich! If I had to choose I would pick either the exclusive white freisian stallion, the retired Hanoverian mare, or any of the fjords default smiley (7)

I'm very green here lol...i had just barely started collecting in 2013 and was oblivious to this event. I was pretty much still just discovering Schleich and only shopping local at the time, which is very slim picking. If only i'd known!default smiley :'(
