Now that I think about it, I may have that mare in her original color and paintdefault smiley (8)
Maybe that is why I didn't recognize it.

That's quite a good collection! Glad to meet ya! Do you collect only horses or do you collect any other Schleich figurines?

Ive got the fresain mare and stud, arabain stud mare and foal, lipizzan mare, apoloosa stud and colt, clydesdale mare and foal, halflinger mare, quarter horse mare. But ive gotten into more Breyer collecting now, so my brother ( who has been wanting them forever ) gets to play with them plus the barn.
Oh you have the barn too? That sounds nice! Is your brother young enough to just play or might he start collecting them? I bet he's really happy to finally get them lol. He might have his eye on your Breyers too, so beware the brother!default smiley (lol)

My dog just left teeth marks and a detached ear in my favorite schliech! An overo with a long mane...sigh. I only have two, as I'm not really a collector, but I bought it because I loved that horse!default smiley :( The only bright side: guilt-free customization practice.

Awww i'm sorry...do you know if it was a retired piece? Maybe you can get another, even if you aren't a collector, since you love it. If its the one i'm thinking, then its not retired.

On a happier note, i just got home from my Christmas with the family, and i got to go by a Toy's R Us. Here's the two pieces i got:

I personally really dislike the new models. As my friend said, most of them look like barbie horses. But that's just out opinion default smiley (8)

Interesting. Do you mean new like, 2018 models new, or the ones from the past year or two or so? Just trying to get a better feel for which ones you mean you dislike.

Ive got my sights set on the Pintabian foal and new pintos next but my check will be short this time because of the holidays. Anybody want to send them to me as a really late birthday gift, or Christmas gift? Lol just joking. But those are the ones i want to get next. And i'm pretty sure my Pintabian stallion's leg is truly bent. Oh well these things happen i guess! maybe sometime i can get another one.

What do ya'll think about these two horses I have my sights on?

Hi dunder! I love both of those! I love the heavy Gypsy but the Hanoverian is one of my favorites of this past years releases...in other words, i can't pick a favorite of the two lol. I hope you are able to get them!

I've been slowly losing my faith and interest in Schleich horses... the newest horses (some 2017 but mostly 2018) I'm super disappointed with. I still want to collect them and run my barn but tack/rider sets and other accessories get far expensive where I live and most places online. My barn took up so much space I have no will to bring it back out. I'm slowly becoming more of a Breyer collector.
