I have only broken 2 Breyers in the years that I have has breyers. That would be 13 years. The only reason I switched to schleich is because I have more space with them.

Ya, they are gorgeous! Nearly got killed by a soccer ball today! I will look up IMEHA! People say breyers won't break if your careful with them, well honestly, aren't they meant for play? You can't really be soft when you play!

I know. I always clomp mine around to make them " walk". If I played with my stablemates like I did with my schleichs, l wouldn't have any stablemates left. default smiley ;) I can't wait to get more schleich for my birthday!default smiley (7)

Oh and I joined IMEHA. It's awesome!
To anyone who has joined the IMEHA....very happy that you did and hope you enjoy the photo showing experience.

It's best to get familiar with the various rules, different divisions and such. Plus you can always look through the past shows and check out the gorgeous models showing...default smiley (y)

^^^ How do you enter a show. I tried the way the site told me but they said there wasn't any shows available. Anyway, what categories do you enter?
Some of the March shows haven't been completed with regards to judging. So once the judges are finished and confirm their division is completed the IMEHA group will get an email from the director to let us know the next show will be open for entries.

With regards to categories/divisions *I* enter? I show in a total of 28 different divisions.

Artist resin division
Breed division
Color division
Mold division
Presentation division

So, irene, was wondering if you could use actual schleich tack for it, cause they say only certain bit and things like that, but I only use the brand schleich rubber tack. I might not enter the thing since there are so many rules. But I need points for my studs!
By Retired breeder, 26th March 2015 01:23:23
Thank Irene, I need to check that out soon

I set up shows and breed books in my forum! You register your horse and then you can enter shows!

The IMEHA is a very well established venue for model horse showing. It's been in existence since 1984. And the main point is to show a model horse as close to a real horse as possible.

I honestly don't see why you couldn't use the tack made especially for the Schleich model but it may not do as well as custom made tack.

Okay, just saw the rulebook and they seemed really strict on that.

Hay j! I watched your barn tour! Not bad, the camera was shaky but other than that pretty good. I'm jealous of jive! I think the barn your working on will turn out pretty good. Have you seen any of my barn tours? You should try using bedding, it made my barns look way more realistic.

With regards to the *Head Study* division I suggest you read the entry rules first on what's expected on taking a good head study photo in order to submit it...get it approved by the director and then entering it in the appropriate class.

thanks for watching! I use my phone so yes it's going to be a bit shaky. Like I said in the video expect a lot of changes. Bedding might be coming soon aswell. I have to ask my parents first. I might even make some feed too.

J for bedding:

I found hay like stuff at a dollar tree. I plan to use it for hay nets once I get net, but I bet it would make good bedding.

Cut up yellow or tan yarn

Slice paper into thin strips then break it so its shorter, but still random.

Some people use Guinea pig bedding, but I have a cat. A very nosy cat. Who still goes under my bed, through the barn, with like 3 inches of clearance. It is so much work to pull him out. default smiley (lol) Anyway he might eat the bedding

On a slightly related note, I can't have pet food or any sort of food mix in my feed bags- not just for the cat, but we aren't supposed to eat in our rooms. My mom says it might attract ants so we don't do that.
