Sometimes I really don't get why people collect Breyer's just to let those expensive things sit around and gather dust. I play with my Schleich and few Breyer's all the time.

There are people who collect Breyers to *show*....either photo or live. So not all people let them gather dust. I photo show mine all the time along with what few Schleich models I do have.

Yeah, but I would try to use them for playing and enjoy them. The thing about Breyer's is that I'm scared every second that they'll get a hideous scratch.

Irene, are there online Schleich shows? Well photo, I guess? I'd like to look into showing my Schleich... Maybe. If I could find a photo contest.
I show mine in the IMEHA (International Model Equine Hobbyists Association)....just Google (IMEHA) and take a look around.

There is a Division strictly for the Schleich models.

Fizz: I call it "Schleich Show". It's in my forum. Informal, everything doesn't need to be SUPER fancy.

Cool!! I have a $40 amazon gift card. So I could either buy Schleich, Topsails Rien Maker, or pretty much anything. I can't decide. I think I want topsails but he's not in stock right now and I want to see the Schleich riders and prices first! Topsails didn't retire did he?!

Oh thank Irene I will check it out!!

If you joined IMEHA (submitted name/stable name)~

Look at the left hand side of the page....click View Shows....choose the month of the show you want to look through (January...February...March 2015). The next page will show the whole list of the various Divisions (there are quite a few)

You need to look for Division Mo14--->that's the OF Schleich Mold Show

Also....there are still classes for the March show being judged so no new entries will be allowed. Once the judging is completed then you would get an email (through the IMEHA Yahoo group) letting your know the show is open for entries and your photos can be submitted.

And....I suggest you read the information on the photo rules first to see what's allowed and what isn't.

I always play with my breyers! Mind you I don't have many, but still. I simply can't let them just sit there. $30 for nothing? Pah. Anyway, this topic is about schleich. I have about 20 or so schleich horses, and the pony riding set. The person is called Ella-no-hands, as she has no hands default smiley xd I really should find some more boxes so I can make more stables and barns all that sorta stuff for them default smiley (o) I'm hopefully getting the latest arab mare (white and grey, the one with pink ribbons in her mane) for my birthday default smiley *-)default smiley (7)

Ya, they are gorgeous! Nearly got killed by a soccer ball today! I will look up IMEHA! People say breyers won't break if your careful with them, well honestly, aren't they meant for play? You can't really be soft when you play!
